Dan Happe’s pass…
To Kelman for the Os goal … pure quality
De Bruyne does that in premier league/
Champions league and the pundits would
be going overboard about the quality..

Happe has become a bit of a expert with that diagonal ball....got us on the attack quite a few times last season.

Yes, the control edged out the pass.Give it to Jabo wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2024 1:00 pm The way Kelman contolled the pass with one touch = sublime.

Re: Dan Happe’s pass…
De Bruyne can hit that 9 times out of 10, that’s the only difference.Hedmans Header wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2024 12:09 pm To Kelman for the Os goal … pure quality

Happe hits that once in 10. The other 9 go straight to the keeper, out of touch or decommission the solar panels.

Re: Dan Happe’s pass…
Same here, closely followed by Obiero. Kelman looks much sharper and a more accomplished finisher in general than when he was here before.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2024 1:46 pmKelman was my MOTM yesterday.Give it to Jabo wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2024 1:00 pm The way Kelman contolled the pass with one touch = sublime.

Re: Dan Happe’s pass…
Kelman definitely looked far better yesterday than when he was previously in E10. Great goal and he looked dangerous and was unlucky to come up against a ‘keeper like Nathan Baxter yesterday, who was outstanding.
I feel a lot more positive going forward and although Agyei had a quiet game, he won’t be up against a ‘lump’ like Santos every week.
Nobody seems to have mentioned Clare who I thought looked very shaky from the off, and WTF was that clearance across his own penalty area straight to a Bolton striker. Thankfully he improved as the game went on.
Now, Hemmings, I think the 1st goal is actually worse as he is painfully slow getting down to the hopeful shot. The 2nd is unfortunate as he seems to collide with Brown but he should still catch the ball. He can only get better.
Other plus points were Obeiro, Brown and Galbraith who looked excellent and young Zech was so unlucky with the shot that hit the bar.
As others have said though, our squad looks thin if Kelman or Agyei get injured.

Re: Dan Happe’s pass…
Lost his footing I think, and it definitely looked like it crossed his mind to use his hand whilst he was going down. Kelman’s touch and finish were unreal, and so quick.idontkn0 M wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2024 4:11 pm Was good....did their defender fluff the header attempt quite badly?

Re: Dan Happe’s pass…
Not watched it back but looked like the defender was done either way - the ‘header’ was a last ditch attempt because Kelman had got wrong side of him.
Great movement (as he showed all game), great pass, great first touch, great touch to move the keeper left, then great finish.
Looks like Richie was right after all and does know more than us idiots in the stands.

I expected Kelman to prove the doubters wrong as RW is normally right in his assessmentsHoover Attack wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 10:19 am Not watched it back but looked like the defender was done either way - the ‘header’ was a last ditch attempt because Kelman had got wrong side of him.

Re: Dan Happe’s pass…
Yes, he's good with the punt upfield, but to be fair the long ball is still a bit hit and miss.Loyal_Supporter wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2024 1:17 pm100%Hedmans Header wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2024 12:09 pm To Kelman for the Os goal … pure quality

Kelman was one of the major ‘plus points’ on Saturday, definite improvement on when he was here before.DuvB wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 11:28 amI expected Kelman to prove the doubters wrong as RW is normally right in his assessmentsHoover Attack wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 10:19 am Not watched it back but looked like the defender was done either way - the ‘header’ was a last ditch attempt because Kelman had got wrong side of him.

Re: Dan Happe’s pass…
Nothing wrong with a long ball pass played accurately out of the defence to one of your own forwards. Booby Moore often did it, one example being England's 4th goal in the 1966 World cup final scored by Geoff Hurst. Happe is good at playing these diagonal passes out of defence.redintheface wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2024 12:44 pm Great observation. Dismissed by some as “ long ball football”

Re: Dan Happe’s pass…
Now watched the highlights. Looks like Dan got lucky that one time. I could hear Kelman screaming at him "Dan, Dan, Dan...send it long"
