Re: ex player slagging off ling
As long as it ain't personal, where is the problem. David Luiz comes in from criticism from ex-pros as well. Maybe the disappointment is that it is from an ex-club employee and they should tow the line?
The real losers look set to be the show itself, can't see many guests from the club attending in future.
Some stats from last season. Ling and Judd played a similar amount in the League, Ling had more games but was subbed off more.
Win/losses and goals only from when the player was on the pitch. Cup games are ignored, and I don't think it makes much difference (Judd got sent off in one, Ling got skinned by Turgott for the length of the pitch in another).
Judd
Games played = 19
Won = 12, Drawn 5, Lost 2
Goals for = 36
Goals against = 8
Ling
Games played = 22
Won = 9, Drawn 6, Lost 7
Goals for = 26
Goals against = 20
In my view going on last season Judd should be ahead in the pecking order. One thing that is going in Ling's defence is that after the formation change his results improved a lot, five wins and one draw. But now it seems that formation is dead.
Sure, these results came at a different time of season and Judd benefited from a squad that wasn't injured. Stats don't tell the whole story, but even looking at overall quality of performance I feel Judd is better, got nothing to do with family relations.

I'll have a word with Kev when I see him next.....out of order! Still, he is right when he says he offers little going forward but I think Ling has been quite solid thus far.

Having spoken to one of our Division 1 squad players last week he was very impressed with lingy.Disoriented wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 2:27 pmI will take his view over yours any day of the week fella.
He saw Judd play last season & thought Ling was the better optiin
Ill take the opinion of a player who was part of top flight football & 2nd division ( old money) than dicko who could do it at division 4 but wasnt around long in the 3rd division.
Its all about opinions though.

Well I spoke to an International player who saw them both last season and he said Judd was definitely the better player, so I’ll take his opinion over a mere 2nd division standard player.

Should say it all really .

When all evidence is to the opinion, then ‘learned’ is the correct word. Not sure which part of that you can’t understand whilst you spout your foul-mouthed mutterings.tuffers#1 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 4:25 pmAgreed, but C*nty fans who claim to be learned do.Disoriented wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 4:21 pmIt is. Do you also happen to know how many times young Sam has been awarded Young Apprentice of the Year? Or how many times he’s been released by a football club for not being good enough?

Funny this considering I had an opinion re your podcast and you threw your dollies out the pramApple Wumble wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 1:48 pm Having podcasts and radio shows where no one commits to an opinion, especially one that doesn’t toe the club line, will be very dull.
Haven’t heard the actual comment so can’t comment on delivery but I don’t disagree.
Didn’t exactly cover himself in glory for the first goal yday either.
And strange you can only pick out Ling for the first goal the ball was in and around the area for a good few minutes and not one Orient player could clear the danger away or did I dream that

Ling pl 5 w 3 d 1 l 1.

Where has this thing about Judd being better going forward than Ling? If anything I'd say it's the other way round. Our right hand side didn't have the same threat once Ling went off.

Re: ex player slagging off ling
Well exactly. A year before clown face lost the cheque book and stopped paying the bills.
Lingy was released because he wasn’t good enough, all the other kids such as Koroma, Abraham’s, Alzate, Dalby etc etc and a 16 year old Judd were thrown into the first team.
Spurs will always be my real love, Orient is just a bit of a giggle.
