Football has sold its soul for a few hundred grand………it will be interesting to see how many 9,000 plus gates we get this season and whether the search for a new stadium is put on ‘hold’.
It’s a delicate balance of course but high ticket prices won’t help much.

Yes, that’s right for last season but I think the capacity Has been increased after the work that’s been done in the East Stand and we’ll have more seats available this season.Brigs wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 6:34 pmOur capacity is under 9k so we won't get one above thatCheshunto wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 5:58 pmSky TV or television companies run football though, dictating to clubs, and fans when they will play ie what time on which day.

I think the only extra seating available would be the old directors box , from what I saw at yesterday's family day no other changes , the East stand bogs do look OK although they don't look much biggerCheshunto wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 7:06 pmYes, that’s right for last season but I think the capacity Has been increased after the work that’s been done in the East Stand and we’ll have more seats available this season.Brigs wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 6:34 pmOur capacity is under 9k so we won't get one above thatCheshunto wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 5:58 pm

Re: Ticket Sales for Bolton on Saturday
Can't make it as summer plans, but have neither received my season ticket despite paying for postage and the resale platform keeps taking down my ticket, which given I get 28 quid kicked back to me, is a little frustrating...

I think they will be able sell existing seats Ron as well that were probably kept empty last season, IF the council approval has been received.BIGRON wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2024 9:42 amI think the only extra seating available would be the old directors box , from what I saw at yesterday's family day no other changes , the East stand bogs do look OK although they don't look much bigger
Did you notice the new solar panels on the roof along the whole length of the stand ?? Will they be helping to power the floodlights ??
If we’re struggling to sell home areas of the East Stand, I wonder if the club is willing to increase the allocation given to the away team. Birmingham for example will easily sell more than the usual allocation of 1200.
Re: Ticket Sales for Bolton on Saturday
Lot of tickets still available. Really think those new prices are going to rule out a lot of casual fans attending which realistically makes up a lot of our fanbase.

Re: Ticket Sales for Bolton on Saturday
Paying on the day in the East or JES is £35, which for third tier football is ludicrous.
The amount of casual fans that would pay this will likely be minimal. I love live sport but if I wasn’t a STH then I would never pay this. Not comparable but a cinema ticket is £8 down at Westfield or in Stepney.
Pricing is out of control now and the club have got this very wrong. Even if the boys go on a good run I see huge banks of empty seats all season. I expect the club will quickly realise they dropped a clanger and there will be deals throughout the season such as £10 matches of STH can bring a mate for a fiver etc.

Never mind about the ticket sales, it's just nice to hear that the east stand 'bogs' are looking good.
