Could see it happening tbh.
I am sure matches were postponed during the 2011 riots?

You're thinking of 1985.

Spurs was postponed in 2011, I think that was the only one. Cheltenham's OB wanted to, but ended up letting the match go ahead.

There were games postponed in 2011. An England game and Spurs v Everton

A lot of the rioters were wearing the football shirts of their local team. Could be an ideal opportunity for the OB to nick hundreds of them at a home match. Most were caught on CCTV or posted footage of themselves chucking bricks, so shouldn't be hard to identify

Obvs no idea where this guy is 'hearing' stuff from, but as he says there, if it happens it'll probably be because Police don't have the resources to do various lower league games as well as simultaneously get bricks thrown at them by dickheads, not that the games themselves will be directly affected by violence.

Our second leg at Spurs was postponed because of the Broadwater Farm riot in 85

Going to be a headache for Sky this. Rearranging fixtures to cover riots and the matches.

“The Shrewsbury v Mansfield fixture has been moved to 4:15pm to accommodate EDL v Antifa which is now scheduled to kick off at 12:30 and it’s all LIVE exclusively on Sky”
