Nonsence. You are always negative towards the club. You knew what you were doing- stirring it up trying to make the club look bad

Proper laughing at MB posting some made up sh*t cos he seemingly can’t read or has an agenda and then demanding an apology when people put him right.

With two parties
operating from the same
bar/premises and drawing off much of the same stock it will be difficult for LOSC to calculate an accurate end of season donation to the football club.
What is monkey boy wrong about here?

The club wanted to takeover running of the sc, but will just do this on non matchdays, for now.

From the above sounds like they'll be providing some stock.

Thank you LSN, people are not reading what’s been written, all there seeing is me posting and taking there petty vengeance out on me because they refuse to believe the club can do such a thing. Believe me they can and they will given time, personally I think it’s a petty thing and it won’t generate thousands of pounds, eventually they will out price themselves and alienate the supporters who like a social drink with there friends on match days. They are looking to generate more money for the club which is telling me that there’s simply no money. You can tell that by the poor recruitment this season.

Interesting bit "The owners anticipate that with the club room being sited in a prime location - the only bar area accessible directly from the road -"
What do they think they will do with it. Two pubs I have been in have been empty, one on a Saturday night at 10pm. Does anyone think the likes of Nigel, Kent and Mark have even been in a local pub recently. Other uses anyone, lack of any parking would be a problem.

I’m confused as to why Monkey Boy is getting stick here. He wasn’t fully clear initially, but what he’s posted up does highlight an apparent issue that could end up being significant.

Raising a legitimate issue - as he has done - is only “stirring things up” if you don’t believe that stakeholders in a supporters club should be free to discuss issues pertaining to the supporters club on a message board for supporters to discuss the club.

The only bar that’s accessible from the road is the one under the west stand as far as I know,it probably takes the most money on match days? Once the club get there foot in the door they will want to eventually take the whole thing over. Myself I drive then get a train so I don’t drink but I know others do and enjoy there beer there at a reasonable price. It doesn’t take a genius to work out that the club can’t make the ground bigger so what’s the next step. Put all the prices up,ie new seat prices for example. But some of the melts on here just want to blame me for some reason but I know the knowledgeable Football people on here will know where I’m coming from and always have. As for the happy clappers and melts💁‍♀️you know who you are so keep burying your head in the sand but remember I told you so.

What it looks like to me is the first tentative step towards the club shifting the dynamics around use of that space until it’s effectively a bar owned and run by the club, with the “supporters club” aspect shifting to be “a bar that supporters go to”, maybe initially with some privileges dished out to members to sweeten the pill.

It’s definitely not nothing

Plenty of Money to be made from the New Flats opposite. If the club can earn some extra coin when the supporters club isn't being used, they should take it.

The Football Club already own the premises but to take away or water down the running of the SC would at best be disrespectful to David Dodd and the committee and at worst risk alienating a lot of O's fans.

The SC has been built on time given by volunteers like David, Simon Fellman, Lou Day, Mike Childs and Steve Jenkins it's what makes it unique run by the fans for the fans. I can absolutely guess where this idea has come from and Travis needs to stamp on it before the damaged is done.

Can't help thinking that there is a danger of alienating a lot of fans if the club ease out the supporters club committee.

It makes perfect sense, there is money to be made. I like a cheap drink, but for fans is there any other benefit for the sc to be run by volunteers rather than the club?

A degree of separation. The sort of thing, the benefits of which, are often only realised when things go wrong in its absence.

What is the benefit to fans if the current arrangements were to change or end?

One example - I can imagine in 2014/15, a certain Italian might have decided on balance that there’s not much to be gained from actually providing a location where fans can have a drink and discuss how pissed off they are

No fan tax.
