It is being reported that hundreds of EDL members have gathered to “protest” outside a Southport Mosque cos obviously the tragedy is all down to the Muslims.

Police were assaulted and sustained injuries.

Rubbish. Sometimes it's not necessary to glibly post RIP at such times. My comments were at an individual who appeared to be politicising a terrible event. The later comments about the thugs, who nobody wanted in Southport, who were there for an opportunity to goad and/or attack Muslims and Police, were totally justified.

It goes without saying that the attacker should receive the full force of the law as his act was barbaric.

Are you actually suggesting that there are two sides to this? That if you call out the rioters you are excusing the murderer and vice versa?

Personally I first responded to an earlier post re false information and this morning made a further comment linking to my original post

To clarify, I am appalled and saddened by the stabbing and hope those that are still receiving treatment pull through. I also hope the perpetrator gets his just rewards. Finally I hope as many of the thugs as possible are arrested for hijacking a community's grief to hurt and maim while following a misguided agenda.
