I was going to link to the previous discussion about them but wasn't sure how to without making a misteak. The Reverend wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 7:54 pmFunded by those wealthy Coggeshall familiesMax B Gold wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 1:49 pm He's off to Braintree who are apparently minted. Whist I will be quite sorry if he goes, it would be a good move for all parties.essexfootball wrote: ↑Thu Jul 25, 2024 11:28 pm Squad number been given to Pegrum, Moncurs departure will be announced tomorrow or Saturday pending media shots

Let's hope that the fitness test at either club doesn't last longer than 60 minutes...ContrifibulatoryFred wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2024 9:29 am Fans of both Swindon and Colchester are praying they they can sign George. (According to a search on Twitter today)

Re: George Moncur......
There is an impression by some that George is past his prime. Whilst I don't necessarily disagree, George is a talented footballer and is still only 30 years old, not 35+ as I assumed. There is no reason with the right commitment that George couldn't perform at League 1 level or even better. Whether that commitment materialises at Orient or elsewhere remains to be seen. We all know he is a matchwinner on his day, and an unaffordable luxury on others.

Re: George Moncur......
IMO well skill wise he is perhaps a championship level player, but fitness wise needs to improve a lot if he is to play regularly for the Os in Division One.Chelmsford Swimmer wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2024 10:02 am There is an impression by some that George is past his prime. His attitude must be crap though. If he can’t even be bothered to get fit then he’s no good to man or beast.Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2024 10:12 amIMO well skill wise he is perhaps a championship level player, but fitness wise needs to improve a lot if he is to play regularly for the Os in Division One.Chelmsford Swimmer wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2024 10:02 am There is an impression by some that George is past his prime. What I want to know is why is his god not helping him with fitness. Isn't there something in the Bible about sloth and indolence?BoniO wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2024 10:47 amHis attitude must be crap though. The former a gift from his "God"- the latter all his own (lack of) work.
