Re: George Moncur......
Was the best player on the pitch by a mile second half against Welling, unfortunately for him we don't play Welling every week.

I like George as a player, but a swap with Colchester for Noah Chilvers I would like even more.

Re: George Moncur......
If this is true??? It would be a good signing all that’s needed then is a keeper and striker and possibly a left back

Re: George Moncur......
Would quite like this to be true. Thought that Chilvers is quite a useful player, especially when he banged in that late equaliser against us in the 2-2 game a couple of seasons back.
I also like how a load of people have written Moncs off as fat, lazy, unprofessional and in breach of contract by being fat lazy and unprofessional. Could it not just be that his career is winding down and he’s not in the group travelling to Spain because he’s about to move on. That would also explain why had hasn’t featured in friendlies as they don’t want to risk him getting injured leading to a failed medical and a deal falling through.

Re: George Moncur......
I will miss Moncs. When he was on form he was one of the best players in the league. Reminded me a little of Thornton, also a complete Maveric who had so much skill but was just never consistent enough.
If Moncs is off I wish him all the very best and hope he smashes it where ever he ends up (unless it’s against us of course ).

He must be shattered after that. I recommend a weeks recovery time in the sun. Clearly you aren’t the brightest either for making that statement about Christian’s and alsoLittleMate wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2024 12:55 pmBoth in the past and right now he is an important part of the squad's morale. He's the polar opposite of Harry Smith, who was a mood hoover, and provides much needed laughter in the changing room. Also, who can forget his contribution as one of the originals of the spiritual group. Wagon wheel is his!Cheshunto wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2024 10:53 amI think the sad part is that he seems a very nice guy off the pitch, and fans want him to do well but if he lacks the commitment and effort then fans will be upset. Effort is the very minimum that fans expect………he is clearly a skilful player but there’s just no end product.LittleMate wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2024 10:08 am Monc's problem is that these days he is naturally heavy. As he gets older this tends to tell on performances more and more. As much as I'd like to see it, he's likely to have passed his best - whilst at the same time we have got better.
Unfortunately George is in a high octane squad. Closing down quickly is not in his natural skill set. When I saw him first play (against Spurs young ones) and he made a number of surges together with a delicious free kick I though him to be a world beater. It ended up being a case of a man bullying kids.
