British social realist drama
Does this mean films featuring yobs, gangsters and hard men, mainly set in and around pubs and council estates?

Re: British Film Watch - Social Realism
Actually, BOYS LIKE YOU isn't about "yobs and gangsters." It's a thoughtful drama about human connection and the impact of our actions. Not all stories set in council estates are about crime.Long slender neck wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 10:25 amBritish social realist drama

Seen a few films that work off that premise tbf”A depressed housewife seek out a troubled young man from her past with disastrous consequences”

I can't decide which is the better trailer, this one or the new Alien one. Alien doesn't have Mick from Brookside in it granted.
