Spain trip
Well it appears that the players we are interested in are not biting our hands off to join us in Spain.
So are some of our youngsters on stand by secretly hoping we do not sign someone last minute so they can come.
I hope Ryanair do not charge us too much to change the name on the tickets.

Re: Spain trip
Very disappointing the usual balls up by the club, according to Wellens two players were being signed at the beginning of the week? Probably waiting on Stoke Mandeville out Patience’s to be released. Why come out with statements like that if it’s not happening. There does seem to be some communication break down between Ling and Wellens.

Re: Spain trip
Could just be solicitors holding things up. The second player might even be on the trip prior to formal completion.Monkey Boy wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2024 11:55 am Very disappointing the usual balls up by the club, according to Wellens two players were being signed at the beginning of the week? Re: Spain trip
That was also my first thought . Richie said Lingy had covid so that could be what the hold up is . Nonetheless , couldn't somebody else do the paperwork for these two players . Now we have lost a week's training for these players to gel with the rest of the squad .Rubex Kube wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2024 12:18 pmOr CovidDuvB wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2024 12:15 pmCould just be solicitors holding things up. Re: Spain trip
The players could be with the squad, we dont know?
What with Microsoft and Ling getting Covid, we just don’t know.
If the paperwork need signing off by Lingy and he’s unwell, then it will have to wait.
We will know sooner rather than later.

Re: Spain trip
What cracks me up is the double standards on here
Forum poster says we need 5 signings for our paper thin squad... gets accused of bed wetting as above and told the squad is perfectly fine
Richie does an interview a while later and says we need 5 players... tumbleweed

Re: Spain trip
Really hope that Wellens doesn’t come out with the crap about our players not having a good pre season this time, haven’t heard much from the Chairman either, what happened about all the exciting players coming in? We have so far all been rogered by the club. Managed to put a few extra seats in the East Stand thoughRedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2024 1:08 pmThat was also my first thought .
