Was Ritchies son, did ok when he came on with other youngsters but not enough time to judge him.

As part of Wellens signing for 3 years it meant his family relocating. Little Wellens is moving south and going into our development squad as he's good enough.

Nice to see nepotism is alive and kicking at the club

Don't believe he was at a club previously. Mainly because he's just a head on a stick.

If he’s good enough then fair enough.

Think he was at United like his dad was?

I’m sure he’s good enough.

I think we had another Father and Son duo at the club a few years ago
If he’s good enough then it s fine with me but it does put pressure on the lad if Dad is in a position of authority.

Alfie Wellens joined us from Burnley FC.

He is one of the eleven new scholars who joined the academy this summer.

Centre midfielder by the looks of it

Doesn’t look like he’s played a league game yet and was recently released so is on key with our recent business

Firstly he's only 16/17.

Secondly he was probably released because his parents were moving south.

Not being a senior player ticks another box that’s on key with some of our recent signings, thanks
