Re: Who should be the new England manager?
Easy choice, only one has a proven track record of winning at European tournaments
Sarina Wiegman gets my vote every day, hopefully the stuffy old grey men at the FA can look past their unconscious bias and pick the overwhelmingly obvious candidate

Anyone but Pochettino, another serial loser and Kane fan who also played him in a final when obviously unfit.

Re: Who should be the new England manager?
Jurgen Klopp is leaving Liverpool because he feels knackered and needs a rest . For that reason I can't see him being the England manager . If he was to manage any national side I would imagine it would be Germany .

A better way of showing everyone you don't care is ignoring the thread and not replying!

I would love to see Klopp's enthusiasm and style of play imposed on the England team. Sadly, he has the one thing that the FA don't like - a personality.

Re: Who should be the new England manager?
My choice isn't on the list
Lee Carsley is the obvious choice.
Current England u21 manager, and won the u21 Euros, playing fast attacking football.
Got to be the fa's choice

I think it's less likely that and more why the f*ck would klopp take the england job if he found the Liverpool job too stressful, isn't English and could walk into any club side he wants in a year or two. People massively overestimate how attractive a position it is. Before Southgate we had Sam Allardyce in charge.

Tbf the England job is only stressful for a month every 2 years. A lot more free time surely?Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2024 1:30 pm I think it's less likely that and more why the f*ck would klopp take the england job if he found the Liverpool job too stressful, isn't English and could walk into any club side he wants in a year or two. Re: Who should be the new England manager?
Pep has said he'll leave City if he's "been lied to" about the charges (i.e. if they stick, he knows as well as we do that they're true), and that he'd like to do a national team

She's great but I wonder if she actually wants the job?Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2024 12:00 pm Easy choice, only one has a proven track record of winning at European tournaments

Re: Who should be the new England manager?
We all know it’s going to be Eddie Howe, FA want an Englishman, so steady Eddie is the man, end of, might be Carsley sits in as interim manager until Howe is ready.
Others
Defensive Dyche please not another Gareth.
Harry Potter, way out of his depth.
Lampard or Rooney disaster waiting to happen
Poch - Why would you appoint a serial runner up, who has not won anything, and he loves Kane, so definitely a big fat NO!!
Pep or Klopp, just not going to happen, why would they want the England job?

Would be interesting to see how would do without being able to buy his way to success.

Re: Who should be the new England manager?
Dont want to see Pep and his Tiki-taka style of play imposed on England, even Spain and many of the Spanish clubs have now ditched that possession style of football. Klopp style of football for me !

Re: Who should be the new England manager?
Sarina has failed to achieve that same level of success since winning the Euro's back in 2022 and this year failed to qualify for this years Olympics and must get at least a draw tonight away to Sweden in order to qualify for the UEFA Women's Euro finals in July 2025.oxo wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2024 2:19 pmShe's great but I wonder if she actually wants the job?Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2024 12:00 pm Easy choice, only one has a proven track record of winning at European tournaments
