Tuesday's friendly games

Post by BIGRON »

As we have 2 games on Tuesday ( Welling and St Albans ) I wonder if the squad will be split evenly or a yoof team will be at one of the games 🤔 both games are doable for me but I don't want to be watching a bunch of youngsters ☹️

I'm going to Welling, so if I was you I would go to St Albans, I always pick the wrong one.

We’re going to St Albans, it’s a lovely ground and a really nice town for those who haven’t been before.
Hopefully we’ll see at least half the first team squad.

Welling has one covered stand from memory when I went years ago and it hammered down all night

Agreed with above, expect first team squad to be split even ish and bolstered with youth players to give everyone lots of minutes.

I’ll probably end up at the one that gets cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch 🥲

A tough watch at Welling. We had some good moments but were all over the place a lot of the time. Couldn't find a team sheet so no idea who many of them were. Welling should have won on second half display.

Pratley looks past it, James defending not great and Perkins looks lightweight as main striker. Very early days though . Ollie was different class in first half and against Welling Moncur looks a class above as you would expect

Dan Agyei was different class tonight, scored 4 I think and seemed a yard or two quicker than tonight’s non-league opponents St Albans
Others who impressed me were Galbraith and young Makai Welch who worked tirelessly and looked skilful.
Sam Hutchinson got the first half and looked ok.
Ashby-Hammond, the keeper on loan from Fulham I think , didn’t have much to do and really can’t be judged.

Interesting to note that we played with two strikers tonight in Kelman and Agyei. I assume the wingers played at Welling.
