2,048 minutes last season to show what he can do
That’s a very fair chance and he was shown wanting.
It hasn’t worked out, but that sure ain’t because ‘he wasn’t really given a chance’
But all the best to him

Can't stand the petty personal stuff aimed at the player just because he hasn't performed as expected.

Sometimes it just doesn’t work out. He did try and I’m sure he’s as disappointed he had a bad season as we are.
A good move all around providing the budget is now put to good use.

Just a very odd piece of recruitment. Never a Wellens type of player. Hopefully these changes to the processes will prevent such nonsense happening again.

Re: Joe Piggot
As bad as he was for us, he did score 54 goals in 157 games when we was last at Wimbledon, so there is obviously a player in there somewhere. I have no doubt playing in a different formation that suits him, he will be more prolific than he was with us, although on the evidence of what I saw, I would be surprised if if he gets anywhere close to his old stats. Nevertheless he didn't play badly for us deliberately, so I wish him well.

Re: Joe Piggot
Definitely not a Wellens type player, so who was responsible for him coming to the club. This circus must stop and only players that Wellens personally chooses must come to the club, too many costly mistakes being made by the DOF and so called transfer committee.

Or it’s simply that he was a one season wonder who’s now on his way back down . Since he left Wimbledon he’s done nothing.Chelmsford Swimmer wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2024 11:57 pm As bad as he was for us, he did score 54 goals in 157 games when we was last at Wimbledon, so there is obviously a player in there somewhere. Can’t win on here Max if I say something positive I’m wrong if say the actual truth I’m being negative. The actual truth is…… we have had the worst window thus far, even going by the last January window this has been a shambles. We have missed out on some very good free signings and there’s certain people at the club that are accountable. Now all the happy clappers on here can slag me off as much as they like however the people that know there football on here should and would have to agree of which I know there are plenty,as for the rest of the ignorant keyboard warriors .Max B Gold wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2024 10:52 amAgreed. Re: Joe Piggot
Monkey Boy is absolutely right.
We're gonna wait till the last possible moment and sign desperate players that no one wants for the cheapest possible price,
I cant see anything other than a fight against relegation this coming season.

Genuinely don't understand how you can say this window has been a "shambles" +4weeks before its finished, makes literally no sense what so ever.Monkey Boy wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2024 9:14 amCan’t win on here Max if I say something positive I’m wrong if say the actual truth I’m being negative. We have replaced Forde with Perkins, Sotoriou with Kellman and brought in Jaiyesimi as a further option out wide or up front.
Obviously there are still big gaps that need to be filled IE: CM & GK positions as well as others but until the players have been brought in to cover these areas how do you know its not been successful ?
Who are these spectacular opportunities that we have missed out on ? How do you know that who we get wont be better than them ??
Seems to me that the club not moving at a speed you demand is your biggest issue. Why don't you start thinking a bit more rationally and waiting until the window is complete, our business has been done and you've actually seen the new signings play before condemning us to relegation ?
