Re: Joe Piggot
Reported by Newsnow that a loan deal has been agreed with AFC Wimbledon for Joe Piggot . This must release some money for 2 midfielders / goalkeeper.

Being reported by the South London Press now
Hopefully it frees up enough wages to sign another 18 year old on loan who’s never played a league game

Re: Joe Piggot
We now need to sign an experienced proper number 9 striker to replace Pigott. Not another inexperienced youngster.Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2024 4:17 pm Being reported by the South London Press now

Re: Joe Piggot
Excellent news
Pity we couldn't get a permanent transfer for him, but at least he won't be around
Truly awful player for us

Re: Joe Piggot
2,048 minutes last season to show what he can do
That’s a very fair chance and he was shown wanting.
It hasn’t worked out, but that sure ain’t because ‘he wasn’t really given a chance’
But all the best to him

Re: Joe Piggot
Looking to to threads in two years about how he’s signed for Newport and we shouldn’t have got him back cos he knew how to score goals

Re: Joe Piggot
He was given more than enough chances and couldn’t take it. Good riddance.

Re: Joe Piggot
Will be amazing both for Joe and the club if he finds somewhere to play next season.
Hopefully this will free up part of the budget and allow us to bring in another lightweight U21 Premier league loanee striker

Re: Joe Piggot
Giving him the benefit of the doubt here, think there’s a decent player in there but it was a strange signing because our style of football is completely unsuitable for his game and you could see that from the first minute of last season.
He’s a poacher / target man and we tend to play with more diminutive forwards that run the channels etc. Was never going to suit us.
He could do well in a side that’s a lot more direct. But 100% the right decision to move him on

Re: Joe Piggot
I agree . He could flourish at Wimbledon but it will never happen at Orient . It's for the best he moves on .Jman wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2024 10:17 am Giving him the benefit of the doubt here, think there’s a decent player in there but it was a strange signing because our style of football is completely unsuitable for his game and you could see that from the first minute of last season.

Can't stand the petty personal stuff aimed at the player just because he hasn't performed as expected.
