Labour did not so much win as the Tories lost. Jezza got a bigger % of the vote and lost.

Glad they won though because its time for a different approach.

He could not lay out 400 seats for a garden party - unelectable IMO.

Pleased he won though, as parliament needs alternate considered views like his as a challenging force to any government. Can't say the same about "Nigel". He's just a disruptor. Labours #1 weapon!!

Labour got 35% of the votes from a rurnout of appx 40%.

What does that tell you ?

It's nearer 60% turnout, I believe.

But yes, 35% of 60% is 21%....

I'll give Starmer 3 years and then his ambitious party "colleagues" will start muttering that at 66 he'll be too old to lead Labour into another General Election and he'll have to say he'll step down after that Election to keep them quiet.

In the meantime, unless Labour raise taxes, IMO there won't be much change as there's not much money in the Government coffers.
