Re: Diallang Signs
We got rid of Ruel because he scored goals, rarely had fitness issues, high work rate and put defenders under pressure, problem was he wanted more money !! So see what this new guy does but from all reports, more like a case of ''hope springs eternal''MassiveForehead wrote: ↑Thu Jul 04, 2024 6:36 pm My mates a Charlton fan
"You haven't. No way. Really? He's w..k, fat, lazy and slow. He couldn't get a game at Wimbledon and a Scottish team. He's genuinely awful. You're better off signing 10 years for Pratley. I'm putting a bet on you to go down."
Great signing then.

Re: Diallang Signs
This new signing sounds like he has a history of being unfit and injury prone. If this all turns out to be true, then why would Os be signing such a player ?
Really hope all these stories turn out to be untrue, we shall soon find out.

Re: Diallang Signs
Let's hope he has more ability than the BBC reporter that wrote this

We've re-signed Sanders, paid an undisclosed fee for a released 26 year old, and we open the season away to Barnsley...on a Friday night...

Re: Diallang Signs
This looks a RW signing to me. So far I don’t think he’s got many wrong.
Players need to feel settled, happy and have confidence. This might be the club and manager he needs.
Let’s give the lad a go.

Unless RW can get something special out of Diallang, I'm afraid that he's gonna be another Pigott

Good one, that comment made me chuckle !
A definite case of ''Hope springs eternal''
Perhaps Richie knows something that no one else does ?

Re: Diallang Signs
Would be nice for supporters on this MB to see the club actually be proactive in the transfer market instead of reading about other clubs signings and signing average or below average loan players or players that have had previous long term injuries.

Re: Diallang Signs
We didnt "get rid" of Ruel though. We offered him an improved contract on terms we thought were suitable and he turned it down and signed elsewhere for what he believes is a better deal. It happens.Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Thu Jul 04, 2024 7:54 pmWe got rid of Ruel because he scored goals, rarely had fitness issues, high work rate and put defenders under pressure, problem was he wanted more money !! I liked him alot and would have liked him to stay but to keep saying we got rid of him implying we didnt want to keep him is just wrong. Kelman is clearly the Ruel replacement not Diallang and personally i think Kelman can go on to match if not better what Ruel achieved here.

Re: Diallang Signs
Effing hell, give the lad a chance
And how about some trust in a management team that have got us back to L1 and secured a very credible top half finish.
No transfer is guaranteed, it’s just a fact of life we have to take some risks if we want to punch above our weight.
Hope it works out with DJ
