Sports Personality of the Year

Post by Real Al »

Mark Cavendish just put in his bid.

Now the greatest ever winner of stages in the Tour de France.

Cav was a boss today. I watched him from about 10k out and was in position all the way. It was almost like it was written in the story books. He's older than Pratley FFS!!

Blew them all away - and may do so again this year at the TDF.

Sports Personality of the year IMO

Amazing from Cav, was vomiting on day 1 of the tour, what a comeback.

39 years old and winning against these superfit and powerful youngsters. Astonishing comeback. Wonder if he'll have it in him to have a go at today's stage which will also probably be a sprint finish.

He sits in 170th place nearly an hour & 40 minutes behind after 5 stages.

Good achievement to have the outright stage wins record

Cavendish is a shoe-in unless England win the Euros or someone has a beyond spectacular Olympics.

People go mad for this cycling thing don’t they? Understand the physical and mental element of it is unrivalled but it’s f*cking dull

I don't really get it either. I like cycling, and I like France. But I've got far better things to do than watch somebody else cycle through France.

I don't sit and watch every minute of a 240km stage, as that would be dull, but the ITV4 highlights programme at 7.00pm is very enjoyable if you have an interest in cycling
