Given that Vigoroux is still under contract at Burnley and reportedly earning in the vicinity of £10k per week up there it sounds unlikely to me - even more so given Wellens comments a couple of days ago about not breaching the clubs wage structure.

Wants to come home.
Perhaps he could get a Championship club, but I reckon he'd be on the bench.

He’s got a championship club and a spot on the bench (possibly).Long slender neck wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2024 11:00 am Wants to come home.

Burnley wouldn’t expect us to pay his full wage.redintheface wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2024 10:58 am Given that Vigoroux is still under contract at Burnley and reportedly earning in the vicinity of £10k per week up there it sounds unlikely to me - even more so given Wellens comments a couple of days ago about not breaching the clubs wage structure.
This makes sense now - they’ve had him for a year to work on him, let him have some L1 game time so he’s ready to play if they need to recall him.

If this was to happen he would most likely only be on loan . Still , I would welcome that with open arms .redintheface wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2024 10:58 am Given that Vigoroux is still under contract at Burnley and reportedly earning in the vicinity of £10k per week up there it sounds unlikely to me - even more so given Wellens comments a couple of days ago about not breaching the clubs wage structure.

Re: Wonder if there's any truth in this:...
Burnley had four keepers last season (you might well wonder why they needed so many)... one has already gone, and the others are all being touted around. They obviously need to trim their wage bill, so it's not impossible they'll let him go on loan. But then again, they might move on one of Trafford or Muric first and then realise they need to keep Vigs as back up... and he'll be pleased to stay and get some genuine Championship minutes.

If X is accurate and we’re in advanced talks I would imagine everything like that has already been factored inOyinbO wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2024 11:49 am Burnley had four keepers last season (you might well wonder why they needed so many)... one has already gone, and the others are all being touted around. And they are unlikely to send him on loan to a championship rival.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2024 11:16 amHe’s got a championship club and a spot on the bench (possibly).Long slender neck wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2024 11:00 am Wants to come home.

I don't subscribe too much to rumours but looking at it I doubt there are any/many clubs that lack a decent keeper that are above us.

I could see it. Would be an incredible signing and kickstart our transfer window.
Easy to forget we’re only a division apart and he would’ve likely had a relegation clause in his contract reducing his wage, probably around 25%.
If we agree to pay 50%, surely it’s not outside the realms of possibility?

This definitely falls into Nigels 'exciting' category.
Lovely to see us getting the boys of 2022/23 back together. What's Craig Clay up to these days?

How many games did he play last season? Would he not be a little ring rusty

I can’t see anything about Vigs having a long term injury so it’s not quite up the usual standard.Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2024 2:19 pm A player on loan who didn’t play at all last season?
