Somebody at work yesterday told me Evans has just signed his 7th player. You have to admire the way he doesn't let the grass grow under his feet . Personally , I don't expect us to sign any new players for at least another couple of weeks .

When it comes to CM we need El-Miz or somebody else as good as him .Stan1972 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2024 12:11 am Who will be Orients 1st signings of the new season?

Re: First signing of new season
You'd hope they get the key ones sorted for pre-season else how are you going to gel a new group without your first choice GK, LB, RB, CDM and only one fit wide player?RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2024 10:00 am Somebody at work yesterday told me Evans has just signed his 7th player. Re: First signing of new season
Interesting to hear Nigel say at the AGM yesterday that he hopes we get our transfer business done much earlier this year compared to last. Probably many players on holiday and hopefully things will start moving towards the end of June.gshaw wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2024 6:24 pmYou'd hope they get the key ones sorted for pre-season else how are you going to gel a new group without your first choice GK, LB, RB, CDM and only one fit wide player?RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2024 10:00 am Somebody at work yesterday told me Evans has just signed his 7th player. Re: First signing of new season
Let’s hope what NT says is true and we see a few signings in first 2 weeks of July.
1 x GK
2 x Fullback
1 x CDM
1 x CM
2 x Striker
1 x winger who can play AWL & AWR
Not sure we will get all the above, but we can only wish/pray

Re: First signing of new season
Well that's the bare minimum to even compete in this league so recruitment better get a move on

Yes, there’s a lot of work to be done and we haven’t even had any ‘rumours of signings ‘

Let's hope that's the case . I was just wondering about Pigott . Has he got another club lined up yet ?

Re: First signing of new season
Loads of rumours though I do think some journalists have to write anything to justify their wage.
23 year-old Jack Nolan a winger who played for Accrington last year. Joe Whitworth an inexperienced goalkeeper from Crystal Palace and Arsenal goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo a 22-year-old who has been released by Arsenal ahead of the 2024/24 campaign. Mikey Moore, Spurs youngster, playing for England U17's, 8 goals in 9 appearances. Some supporters will not be happy in employing inexperienced players. Dunfermline Athletic defender Josh Edwards. 29 year-old Jack Payne ex Charlton midfielder. Callum Burton a goalkeeper, ex Plymouth. Has 78 apps in the last five years. Of course El Mizouni and Vigouroux got a mention. Sheffield Wednesday’s Tyreeq Bakinson. Goalkeepers: Joe Wildsmith released from derby. Jordan Archer back up goalkeeper at QPR is potentially a free agent this summer. Blondy Noukeu esx Southend loanee. Mo Eisa MK Dons Striker. Keenan Appiah-Forson. Young West Ham CM, who spent last season on loan at Daggers. Some of these rumours are from the forums. My experience, judged on the last two windows is not to expect much if anything.

He does leave himself open, like when he said about going for the play offs last season

Re: First signing of new season
I watched some of the england under 17's and Mikey Moore was head and shoulders above anyone. I can't see them loaning him out, but would absolutely love it if we got himWilliamTell wrote: ↑Sat Jun 15, 2024 6:07 pmLoads of rumours though I do think some journalists have to write anything to justify their wage.
