Re: Roy Keane Innocent
It’s relevant to whether or not Roy Keane is guilty of something else a quarter of a century later?

Re: Roy Keane Innocent
If somebody has been charged with an offence, I believe it is customary for the powers that be to discover if anything is known of previous offences before a sentence is passed. I am not saying that Keane IS guilty in this case, btw. I simply thought that it was an interesting case worthy of discussion on this forum. It seems to have rattled a few cages, yours included.

Who said it wasn't an interesting case? I just found your (and Sid's) ridiculous posts just as worthy of comment.Give it to Jabo wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 3:05 pm If somebody has been charged with an offence, I believe it is customary for the powers that be to discover if anything is known of previous offences before a sentence is passed. Re: Roy Keane Innocent
Yeah, previous offences of the person CHARGED. They don't tend to drag through the victim's past when deciding on a sentence because that would be massively irrelevant.Give it to Jabo wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 3:05 pm If somebody has been charged with an offence, I believe it is customary for the powers that be to discover if anything is known of previous offences before a sentence is passed.

Believe it or not, yes, I am referring to this particular case when replying to you pointing out - in response to mentions of Keane’s history of on field misdemeanours - that it’s customary to check someone’s past when they’re charged with an offence.
Why do you ask?

Bit worried now that the yellow card I got in the 2007 Chaos Cup is gonna bite me on the arse when the bloke who stole my phone out of my hands is sentencedProposition Joe wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 3:13 pmYeah, previous offences of the person CHARGED. I'm afraid this is customary, unlucky.CEB wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 3:17 pmBit worried now that the yellow card I got in the 2007 Chaos Cup is gonna bite me on the arse when the bloke who stole my phone out of my hands is sentencedProposition Joe wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 3:13 pmYeah, previous offences of the person CHARGED. Re: Roy Keane Innocent
Fair enough. What prompted me to post in the first place is that I felt a measure of pity for the accused - he was facing powerful, famous media personalities from the outset, which put him at something of a disadvantage. I am prepared to accept that Keane was the injured party in this case - I am not possession of all the relevant details, anyway.
Re: Roy Keane Innocent
If you ask me it was selfish of media personalities to get themselves headbutted

You know Halaand played 45 minutes for Norway 3 or 4 days later then played 68 minutes for Leeds the following Saturday.Max B Gold wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 12:11 pm Anyone know why he wasn't arrested and charged for this?
I don't get what you wanted him arrested for?

Re: Roy Keane Innocent
People think the tackle ruined his career. Despite him retiring with an injury to his other leg.Brigs wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 4:18 pmYou know Halaand played 45 minutes for Norway 3 or 4 days later then played 68 minutes for Leeds the following Saturday.Max B Gold wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 12:11 pm Anyone know why he wasn't arrested and charged for this?

Re: Roy Keane Innocent
Looks like Keano is less innocent than he is claiming. Guys lucky he's not a cripple like Haaland.

Have you considered the possibility that something may have happened before they entered the room?

Re: Roy Keane Innocent
I'm restricting my comments to what I have actually seen but yeah sure Keano could have taken his legs when out of sight of the VAR cctv. Once a villain. Always a sly villain.CEB wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 6:15 pmMax B Gold wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 4:45 pm Looks like Keano is less innocent than he is claiming. Guys lucky he's not a cripple like Haaland.
