Double header friendlies

Post by Chelmsford Swimmer »

Am I the only supporter that gets fed up when up Orient arrange double header friendlies. You can guarantee whichever one I go to, the stronger team will be at the other one. I don't understand why they don't arrange them one day after the other. A few saddos like me could then go to both. No obligation for the management and players to do the same, so I can't see the problem. I guess it's to do with training together on non-match days ?

It'll be exactly that - the whole squad get a run out, rest the following day, then back in the day after.

Know what you mean - never like it as much when teams play each in quick proximity such as when there is a fixture rearrangement or a cup game followed by a league game. Does not seem as enticing.
