Nigel Farage has called an "emergency election announcement" for 4.00pm today, prompting speculation that he is going to run for parliament after all (nominations close 7th June).

I truly believe. Labour/Starmer is as corrupt as the Tories and we wont notice any difference when they take power

Starmer has been parachuting his 'Zionist mates' into safe Labour constituencies, after removing decent people like Faiza Shaheen in Chingford, replaced by a cardcarrying Zionist, same with Luke Akehurst in Durham north....its sickening.

What a state our politics are in at the moment in this country

There are a load of independent candidates running this time, and my advice is to vote for one of them. If enough were to be elected, they could have a small beneficial effect

So two right wing parties battle it out.............god its so depressing

I think most people will be voting on domestic policies mate and not whether some bloke in Durham thinks Israel has the right to exist

Or to make a pact with the Tories. They're bound to have tapped him up by now and offered him something, given their current performance in the polls.

Because of the new boundaries I now come under Clacton. Should I pop to Tesco and stock up on some eggs?

If this is what is happening, it shouldn't hurt Labour.

Ignore my speculation. All the smart money appears to be on Farage running as a candidate for Dumpsville.

I don't think he'll make a pact, it won't make much difference as the chart you posted shows.

More likely (IMO) that he's standing for election (perhaps Clacton) AND announcing he's going to become the leader of Reform.

We'll see...

Given most of the seats where they’d perform best have already selected a Reform candidate he may have to be parachuted in with someone else getting binned off

Who does he think he is? Keir Starmer?

Farage ain’t standing

Tice has stepped aside and made Farage new leader, which means he can be their representative at the TV debate

Makes sense. Despite being a busted flush, Farage still has the skills to cause both Starmer and Sunak a headache in an TV debate.

Not a busted flush. He thinks he can get reform up to 20% and a greater vote share than the tories. I think he has a real chance and it would be everything the Tories deserve.

Gawd bless him, he felt bad for the people’s army of millions who mob him everywhere he goes and plead with him to run and didn’t want to let them down 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

I agree . Farage has already said Labour will win the election but with him as leader of Reform I think they have a genuine chance of overtaking the Tories. Time will tell

Now to be known as The Corbyn Fallacy; it's not the number of votes, or even the vote share that really matters. It's having enough votes combined with wide distribution that makes the difference. You can have the popular vote but, unless they're distributed in the right way, I still don't see Reform getting more than one MP for Dumpsville.

But, him taking over (which, as the majority shareholder of Reform UK he was clearly going to do anyway), he will squeeze those Tory votes even further and hand more seats to Labour. Therefore there could still be a sizeable brown envelope coming his way from the Tories.
