Just got back from a week in Athens (which was a blast thanks to the Olympiacos win on Wednesday), so planning on doing the annual garden maintenance as a way to adjust to this climate. Fences need some repairs, both sheds are a bit weather beaten, drain needs unblocking, hedge needs trimming, lawn needs a cut, conservatory gutters need clearing and need to get last year's grease out of the barbecue.

House and Garden maintenance mainly but much telly sport to come. Also awaiting the first real PANIC bed wetting post about how everyone including Farnborough Town reserves have made important signings whilst we whistle in a warm American wind. A few poor efforts so far but things will ramp up.

Where's good for some replacement timber fence panels?

The 6x12ft timber shiplap shed is f*cked, and I'm going to have to replace it. I cannot be arsed painting one every couple years,.and want as little maintenance as possible. Is a metal one a decent alternative?

Not sure about panels.

I got a pressure treated shed from easyshed.co.uk 12 years ago and its still standing strong. Never had to paint it. You can customise your design and they build it for you.

Picnic in the park for a friend's 40th. Few drinks and chasing some kids around (not like that, one of them was mine).

Ha. Same!

If we're talking Saturdays- last saturday did a 3 hour Yoga workshop at the gym... I wanted to do it of course, but thought it would be a room-ful of women (it was). Though to date the number I've since slept with, or even had the opportunity to catch a cold off, remains resolutely at zero.

There's always the next one of course.
Next Sat my mate is driving down from Suffolk and we'll do a 3 hour tennis battle in my local park.
Much as I love the football season and everything connected to it, I do not miss it in the summer ...

We met a friend for lunch at The Spread Eagle in Homerton, with kiddo and dogs in tow, then had a walk through Victoria Park to Hackney Wick. Bloody lovely afternoon all round.

Thanks. Looking at a pressure treated shiplap 6X10. Think I'll forego windows, as they always seem to get broken anyway. I'm rubbish at DIY, but even I can put a shed up (or get the kids to do it as they're free labour).

Have a plasticy one that looks like a giant Wendy House - nearly 10 years old and it looks as good as new.
