El Miz
Anybody know if El Miz has had his contract extended by Ipswich. I have been told by an Ipswich season ticket holder that he his not in their plans to give him a 1 year extension

Re: El Miz
Looks like Ipswich haven’t taken up Idris’s option and he will be a free agent. There’s going to be a lot of interest.

Re: El Miz
Weird. Why wouldn’t they take up the option and then sell him and get some cash? Or maybe 200k to a new prem team ain’t worth the hassle

Re: El Miz
I'd hate it if he played for anyone else, but realistically it's more likely that he will.
Fingers crossed

Re: El Miz
It’ll be the salary that other clubs offer which will do us in. I reckon he’ll end up at a mid-table championship club earning 5 times more than we could ever offer. Good luck to him.Long slender neck wrote: ↑Sat Jun 01, 2024 2:07 pm Even with competition, I feel that no fee increases our chances of landing him

Re: El Miz
Can’t see he’s good enough for a mid table championship side. Not enough goals for one thing. Top end league one, hopefully with us!The Reverend wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2024 9:11 amIt’ll be the salary that other clubs offer which will do us in. Re: El Miz
I reckon he’s most likely to end up at one of the big L1 teams, which will be even worse as he’ll be playing against us next season. Will still be earning multiples of what we can offer tho, I agree. The Reverend wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2024 9:11 amIt’ll be the salary that other clubs offer which will do us in. Re: El Miz
Best player in our squad last season IMHO. So on that basis you think we had no players in our squad good enough for the Championship last season or we have other players you think are better.PKM wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2024 10:10 amCan’t see he’s good enough for a mid table championship side. Yes, I think RW did a fantastic job to get us to mid table.Chelmsford Swimmer wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2024 10:21 amBest player in our squad last season IMHO. Imo, Galbraith and O’Neil have great potential and could be championship players, as could El Miz. But they are not there yet. Agyei is a real wild card, if he stays fit he could possibly be a championship player.
Going to be a tough season next year. We need to keep our best players and add quality and depth, not easy on our budget.

Re: El Miz
Absolutely . He's been our team's engine room . We didn't look the same without him so we've got to pull out all the stops to sign him .

Re: El Miz
I suspect as there is no fee he will be asking for a large signing on fee along with hefty wages. Would love to get him but there are bigger clubs in our division with more money than us think he will end up at Bolton or maybe Wrexham,

Re: El Miz
He turned down moves in January, to stay at Orient. He doesn’t seem motivated by money. I’d be veey surprised if he isn’t an Orient player next season.Top of the JES wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2024 12:28 pm I suspect as there is no fee he will be asking for a large signing on fee along with hefty wages. Re: El Miz
Hope you are right but different circumstances now we know he loves it here but his long term future is different than a loan.

Re: El Miz
Absolutely this, we don't have anyone else in our current midfield anywhere near his level. Absolutely critical signing whether it's El Miz or someone else they need to be top quality or we'll be in trouble.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2024 11:40 amAbsolutely . Well you could put your own hand in your pocket and help the club get a deal over the line .

Re: El Miz
Ho loves the Os being in London he can easily travel back to France to see his family. His mum and Dad frequently come to see him play. That means a lot. If we can agree a signing on fee and give him a reasonable salary. Who knows?Top of the JES wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2024 12:28 pm I suspect as there is no fee he will be asking for a large signing on fee along with hefty wages.
