I’d be wary of being too supportive of him. I think it’s very likely that what he’s been accused of is extremely serious. The timing may well be convenient for his political opponents, but let’s see how this plays out

I'm less fussed about whether a leftist candidate gets to stand as candidate for Labour. If they failed to organise themselves properly and take control when they had the chance, then that's on them. And maybe it's best for all involved that everyone knows where they stand (or not).
What is more of an issue is the number of Labour candidates who come from a media background. I get the long-game, as they are preparing for a long-term in office and a relatively compliant relationship with the press. But it is grim.

She ran IDS close last time out - suspect the change won’t make much difference as he’s fairly unpopular locally regardless.
Ultimately the ongoing shenanigans over selections isn’t a surprise - labours NEC / Starmer has spent the last 4 years punching leftwards and Abbott was politically an idiot for providing an opportunity for the party with an opportunity to get rid of her. Labour though have made a dogs dinner of handling her removal though.

He needs to watch, re watch (?) this just to remind himself of the type of people who are in charge.
Labour’s pathetic point scoring against the left will lose them support and could ultimately cost them the Election.
I was only going to vote in this election if there was a socialist candidate (not Labour obviously) but in my SNP/Labour marginal seat I'm going to vote SNP for the very first time.
In England I would urge left leaning Labour voters to either vote socialist/independent/Green or abstain.
Corbyns ecumenical approach was the biggest mistake he made. As I said at the time he should have cleared out the Red Tory neo liberals toot sweet.
