Cost of the youth team

My wife's nephew is playing for Plymouth under 18s apparently he gets 300 quid a week and free board. It's a far cry from 20 quid yts 30 years ago. If it's a similar cost at orient I struggle to see how we make our money on that investment.

Doubt we’ll pay anywhere near that much.

We also only have around 7 boys per year group.

The cost of the staff and facilities will be the real cost, not the boys ‘wages’.

I also assume we receive a payout from the Govt as boys are in education/apprenticeship but that’s just a guess.
