Back when he decided to conpare Netanyahu to Hitler and Nazi Germany.
It doesn’t detract from it but his point had nothing to do with what he was replying to. As long as rightful criticism of Israel stays away from antisemitic tropes, its fine to criticise them
Sounds fair enough. Can you clarify the rules in force when zionists use antisemitic tropes? Cheers very much.
Its not on me to educate you
Selfish.
Looks like it will be down to CEB to educate me. Again.
I'm a bit surprised he's not all over this thread given that he worships complexity and debate. In fact he's almost silent on this issue. Probably too tied up discussing bums, willies, fannies and titz on another thread.

ComeOnYouOs Has been antisemitic in this thread.
Has he? It would be helpful if you could point this out - neither agreeing or disagreeing with you but if you highlight his alleged anti-Semitic comments then we can make our own minds up.
However, none of this detracts from VeganO’s post above in any way.

I made my point because in my view some justified criticism of Israel is classed as antisemitism. As terrible as October 7th was & it was, what has happened since then is beyond belief plus we've had to endure many months of lies, propoganda & gaslighting by one of our allies.
I say to those who justify everything that Israel has done - if you won't condemn the killing of both Israeli & Palestinian children then you have no humanity.

Israel has gone too far with the civilian casualties, that can’t be denied.
I agree with the last paragraph but a lot of people don’t. They want retaliation. They want violence, because it suits their political view.

A secular state is the only solution to mediate the conflicting demands from the communities.
This is the core of the issue. But I can not see any of the participants in the region (whether allied with Israel or the Palestinians) ever allowing a strong secular state to emerge and take hold. It would represent too much of a threat to their domestic regimes. I'd love to be wrong, but we all know I'm not.
Loving the outrage of people like Jonathan Cook over Eurovision, and the personal sacrifices made by so many individuals who have been looking forward to the event for so long:
From "The Scotsman": we told on Thursday how the Dreadnought Pub in Leith has been praised for cancelling its annual Eurovision screening after receiving complaints from regular customers over Israel’s inclusion in the competition.
