Eurovision watch
I'm quite partial to the fun campness of it all, so will be watching. But mainly to laugh at the twee, rubbish acts and moan about why so many now insist on singing in English instead of their own funny little languages.
I see the UK entry has, after a brief spell of putting forward a half-decent song, revert to type. The Olly Alexander song is a great big nothing burger which I reckon will be lucky to finish top half of the league.
One song that does stand out as quite good is Hurricane, which is sung by somebody called Eden Golan. I don't know too much about it, but I reckon I'll be giving this talented singer my votes.

Re: Eurovision watch
Yeah , the fun has already started . Crowds are protesting outside the hotel of the young 20 year Israeli singer . And in a fun packed night I bet she gets booed on stage before she's even sung a single note . That's exactly what happened to two young Russian singers a few years ago . I've now grown to 4king hate that show . It's now nothing more than a political point scoring show where some people can vent their spline .

Be careful Dunners saying that you like Eden Golan because she is the Israeli contestant. The three Amigos will be on to you like a ton of poo poo.

You shouldn't vote for her. Her country is not in Europe and should never be in the competition in the first place.Dunners wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2024 12:30 pm I'm quite partial to the fun campness of it all, so will be watching. Eurovision is just a bit of daft fun. There is no place for politics in Eurovision, or any music for that matter.

Booed during the dress rehearsal
The acts aren't allowed Political symbols or gestures, but i suspect the scoring will be totally Political.

And Australia, how the f8ck did they get by security??? While we are at it. Bloody Turkey shouldn’t be in it, well maybe just the Istanbul bit, but that’s it!! Actually we should ban Turkey completely, picking on those poor Greeks and Cypriots.Frogger wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2024 5:30 pmAnd Australia, how the f8ck did they get by security??? While we are at it. Re: Eurovision watch
Wouldn't surprise me if it's already decided that Israel will win this.
It's always been a fix, and this time round will be no difference.
I stopped watching this 30 odd years ago
