ULEZ will have very little to do with it. Gaza and apathy will decide it. Hall won't increase the Tory voteRedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 7:13 pmIn my opinion if Khan loses it will be down to ULEZ . So apathy is now defined as Labour voters staying at home because they don't support Labours position on genocide. The Mindsweep wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 7:31 pmULEZ will have very little to do with it. Starmer is to blame and should go. Maybe potential Labour voters also noticed the watering down of the comittment to strengthen workers rights in favour of capital a few days before the elections. Net result more apathy.
Mibees it's less about apathy and more about a rejection of Labour policies by workers.

Re: London Mayor Election
A total 2,495,621 votes have been cast in the 2024 mayoral election - a turnout of 40.5%
Sadiq Khan likely to win but not by as much as the polls predicted.

Re: London Mayor Election
The contest for London Mayor has turned very ugly. Best to avoid Twitter. Khan may not be to everybody's taste but he has conducted himself with dignity. He emerged with a lot of dugnity when he stood up to Trump.

Vote for clean air but you can pay £12.50 to pollute everyone? Yes very sensible.Max B Gold wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 8:44 pmIt's almost like lots of people are just thick.Long slender neck wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 7:33 pmSo people will have voted against clean air? Re: London Mayor Election
Bitter eh? Dunno if you’re being deliberately dense but the £12.50 a day is to discourage drivers of older, polluting vehicles from going in to London. He could simply ban all these vehicles but that would lead to an even bigger pushback. Reckon he got it about right and this election result supports that premise.Yanzi Gravy wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 12:01 pmVote for clean air but you can pay £12.50 to pollute everyone? Obviously you're right but what I meant't was as in the sense Remainers couldn't accept the 2016 referendum result .ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 4:58 pmYou can't not accept it, in reality, can you?RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 4:36 pmSo am I but that’s democracy .
