Re: Idris Saing Goodbye ?
I don't see it that way . Anyway what is this , another negative thread to follow the ' Richie is going to Barnsley " thread . I think we have every chance of getting Idris back , either permanently or on loan again .

I love that bloke. Proper baller and a good human.
If he never steps on a pitch for us again I will be gutted, but will always follow his progress.

Think it’s unlikely he will sign for us although I would love him too, one thing finding the money for a fee but wages may be an issue. But never say never.

You can never be sure with Orient social media admin, probably working on how they can edit him into a Marvel scene before the next video drops

Would love to think it's just au revoir and not goodbye......
Hilarious that Lingy is just sending out text messages to prospective signings, not even calling them up.

Re: Idris Saying Goodbye ?
On reflection, I think it is a genuine goodbye. Not many loanees do back to back loans with the same club including a championship medal. I feel our club wanted to acknowledge that. All the best Idris

Re: Idris Saying Goodbye ?
It’s not. There are EFL/FA restrictions about approaching other clubs players. He sent him an “how are you doing” type matey text and Idris then contacted Lingy and invited him to contact his agent who set the deal up with Ipswich and the O’a.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 7:29 pm Would love to think it's just au revoir and not goodbye......

You can’t approach another clubs player directly if they are under contract regarding possible transfers, the exception is if players are out of contract or within 4 months of their contract expiring.
So quick to slag off Lingy the only one that’s hilarious is you.

Ffs, why are you always on the offensive? It’s ruining the positivity.Top of the JES wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 7:54 pmIt’s not. There are EFL/FA restrictions about approaching other clubs players. Idris literally says Lingy text him ‘do you fancy another year at orient?’ and Idris then says he didn’t text Lingy back, he just phoned him saying yes please.

FAO Idris, if you’re reading this:
Watching the announcement of your return last summer was very possibly the best moment of my 40+ years supporting Orient. If you were to come back permanently, it would surpass that. Do it, Idris. Do it.

Re: Idris Saying Goodbye ?
It sounds very much like goodbye to me. He’s been great for us and in all honesty he’s probably deserving of a chance at a higher level and I’m fairly sure that he’ll be looking at his options elsewhere. I don’t blame him at all if that’s the case.

Re: Idris Saying Goodbye ?
At last some sanity. If he goes he goes. When one door shuts another opens. Having pushed Gailbraith into midfield its increased our attacking options which we badly need from that area of the pitch.

Re: Idris Saying Goodbye ?
I don't dispute that Galbraith scored a few goals and had a few good games against the likes of Shrewsbury. What I do know, is that once El Miz was injured, our season went downhill, getting completely overrun in midfield by the likes of Peterborough and Derby. Personally would rather lose Galbraith and keep El Miz any day of the week.Monkey Boy wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 9:22 amAt last some sanity. If he goes he goes. When one door shuts another opens.
