That seems a rather lopsided way of looking on it. The “failure of Labour to win it” may well be something for Labour to reflect on. But the impact of not voting for the least worst option, taking on board every issue rather than one, is one that would be felt disproportionately by those who couldn’t hold their nose.

You are taking the Dunners line of Labour voter entitlement. And yes, I get your point about people suffering and I don't like that as an outcome because people would not take the "least worst option". But demanding they vote Labour (as the least worst option ) and are really voting Tory if they don't is not on.

By witholding their vote or going elswhere Labour have been sent a message they need to listen to. In any event Starmer & Co don't want left wing votes but cry into their cornflakes when they don't get them. Can't have your cake and eat it.

Yes, Tories are good at voting for their overall interests but this is less so now (eg Reform Party surge) and are facing anihalation. Don't forget they've always managed to persuade a third of the working class to vote against their interests.

I'm sure Khan will win. And for what its worth if I was still living in London I would probably have voted for him.

I didnt particuarly like Corbyn, but I still voted Labour in those GE's he lost because the alternative was Tories.
