Great news , the club must have promised realistic increased budget for getting promoted next year and RW having a final say on who we sign.

However I think the recent speculation has brought this announcement forward. What with Ipswich looking like there going up, as I have said before, El Miz will sign. I can’t be wrong again, can I ?

Wonderful news. Well done to our chairman and all concerned in persuading him to stay. I am sure we will go from strength to strength under his management. COYOs.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 12:06 pm https://www.leytonorient.com/news/2024/ ... on-Orient/

Wicked, 3 more years of tippy happy football. Can't wait , will be on the edge of my seat...... . All jokes aside, good that the club have obviously agreed he can reinforce the squad. Must be part of why he signed up for. Up the Os

Dream on, when the next manager vacancy crops up, they'll be out in force again. If we have a few defeats in a row, you'll also get why on earth did we give him a three year contract. That's the way message boards work, sane people should stay clear, I just can't help myself. Personally I couldn't be happier. Easier to replace players, than a decent manager.

That was my first reaction too, but in both Wellens' interviews since the news broke, he's played that prospect (going for promotion next season) downPoundhillO wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 3:28 pm Great news , the club must have promised realistic increased budget for getting promoted next year and RW having a final say on who we sign.

Re: Richie signs new 3 year deal
Great news to have Richie on board for three more years; he is a manager who is loved by the bulk of the fans and his plain speaking is still so refreshing. Keep wearing your heart on your sleeve, Richie, you can continue to achieve great things with Orient.
And let's start with a dazzling cup run in the League Cup this autumn!
I hope he also gets a lot of luck in the summer with all the out of contract players signing new deals, plus some windfall cash from sell-on fees for the likes of Kyprianou (when Peterborough bomb out of the play-offs), Koroma, Nkrumah and maybe even Alzate.

Unfortunately Alzate is out of contract this summer so won’t be getting any sell on fee.MalvoliO wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 7:35 pm Great news to have Richie on board for three more years; he is a manager who is loved by the bulk of the fans and his plain speaking is still so refreshing.
