Barnsley fans think it's a done deal.
But they don't want PT to go with him.

Interesting that Richie is quoted on the club statement on the retained list, wanting to speak to the players released personally and shake their hands. So presumably he wasn't in Barnsley to do that.

They also say Thalhammer was a done deal when he was 1-4 last week.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2024 10:11 am Barnsley fans think it's a done deal.

I recall Richie rightfully claiming he, or at least his style of football, increases attendance.

Hoping for a no news day/week. Looking forward to cheering on Bolton on Friday. 3-0 away win may take some steam out of the situation.

I have loved watching us attempt to play football the right way these past 2 years. Others - the get it out, stop peeing about with it brigade - don’t seem to.
I wonder how the style of football has impacted attendances? It’s obviously impossible to quantify as we’ve been so successful over this period which has driven up numbers.

I personally like the style of football the team has been playing for the last two years however I don’t like the slow build up especially on the counter when the team suddenly slows down then play it back, playing the ball around in the middle and final third is fine but when playing it out from the back and getting caught (Beccles) when the opposition press inevitably results in two things 1) putting us under unnecessary pressure 2)with Happe banging the ball diagonally forward . All very well if you have the players like City and Arsenal to do so but we haven’t. Getting your fullbacks wide and quick distribution from the keeper works just as well imo.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 9:03 amReally interesting point.RBMarshall wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2024 10:17 pm I recall Richie rightfully claiming he, or at least his style of football, increases attendance.

So personally you do like the style of football we play - possession based, playing out from the back - but only when we do it in the final two thirds, not when we play it out from the back?Monkey Boy wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 11:01 amI personally like the style of football the team has been playing for the last two years however I don’t like the slow build up especially on the counter when the team suddenly slows down then play it back, playing the ball around in the middle and final third is fine but when playing it out from the back and getting caught (Beccles) when the opposition press inevitably results in two things 1) putting us under unnecessary pressure 2)with Happe banging the ball diagonally forward . TBF, MB has been posting some better stuff lately. But he posts about Wellens every few weeks "won't be here after the season ends" "wouldn't be surprised if etc etc". Hopefully he will leave it alone now and be a bit more positive about the club. Same with Gshaw forever sniping at the club and stoking the fire.North Stand Dave wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 12:21 pm Monkey boy, where do you get your information from mate
Not even going to mention WUM in chief Hoover Attack he will move on to his next target.

At the club no, at Ling... absolutely if he lets Richie down like January. Back the manager, he's committed himself now time to give him the tools he wants to do the job.Top of the JES wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 12:36 pmTBF, MB has been posting some better stuff lately.
