Re: Starman Awards
Let the conspiracy stories begin.
Despite the fact he said last weekend Harrold would take the team this week and he would watch the game from the stands, a point he reiterated in his midweek interview, He left Matt Harrold to take the limelight.
Now he's not at the Star man awards people reading all sorts into it, don't you just love the close season.

Re: Starman Awards
Agree with the above but MH saying 'hopefully the manager situation gets sorted' very much suggests that something is up in the air.

Absolutely. There is now room for legitimate speculation.Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2024 5:32 am Agree with the above but MH saying 'hopefully the manager situation gets sorted' very much suggests that something is up in the air.

Re: Starman Awards
Bit surprised that MH even mentions this about the ‘manager situation’ creating panic among fans and possibly affecting season ticket sales, hopefully there’s nothing to see here and everyone moves on.Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2024 5:32 am Agree with the above but MH saying 'hopefully the manager situation gets sorted' very much suggests that something is up in the air.

5th favourite. No idea where’s that’s come from so must be something in it.
I’m going to stick some money on so it softens the inevitable blow.
We have Lingys January transfer window to thank for this.

Re: Starman Awards
The fact Richie wasnt at the Starman awards may or may not be important, time will tell, bu s he attended last year, and hasnt this year, there must be a reason for his non attendance..
In his last interview, he seemed incredibly pi55ed off with things, and we all know one day he will move on, because he is very ambitious, and a job with a top league 1 outfit ( Barnsley), would fit the bill at this stage of his career.
He would be confident of winning the league with a club that had their resources....its definitely a move up.
Having said that, there may a simple reason why hes miffed at the moment, that will be sorted soon............we dont know
For me, I hope it is sorted, because Richie is the best manager we've ever had here, and i dont konw how we'd ever find a replacement as good

Re: Starman Awards
MH dropping it into casual conversation like this implies is telling.Cheshunto wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2024 7:33 amBit surprised that MH even mentions this about the ‘manager situation’ creating panic among fans and possibly affecting season ticket sales, hopefully there’s nothing to see here and everyone moves on.Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2024 5:32 am Agree with the above but MH saying 'hopefully the manager situation gets sorted' very much suggests that something is up in the air.
If it was a new development, something that few people knew about, he wouldn't have mentioned it. To state this so openly can only mean it's common knowledge in the group and they're discussing it. This causes obvious issues for those renewing contracts this summer.
The good news is with the club believing in openness and transparency, they'll have issued a statement to clear everything up by lunchtime...

Ruel player of the year/player of the year ahead of El Miz. Someone has a sense of humour.

Re: Starman Awards
He's quite an odd bloke at times. Have said it before but I reckon he'd be much further ahead in his managerial career if he was a bit more savvy and diplomatic. Clearly isn't an issue of talent but his turnover of clubs for a young manager is high and managing disagreements the way he does is going to be a put off to bigger clubs who'd rather keep any internal issues under wraps.

Re: Starman Awards
Barnsley are a big club but he wont last there, look how quickly they sacked Collins.
Re: Starman Awards
It’s a classic thing where having no filter and saying all the stuff that voices frustrations goes down really well with fans, but isn’t really sustainable within the club.
At the moment his ambitions probably outstrip Orient’s ability to match them, but that lack of diplomacy will bite him on the arse when he’s at a club where he finds his level and has a rough period.
