Agree about Forde. Does a lot of sulking and arm waving and has been poor for weeks. Also agree about James, I would keep him as we have more pressing concerns elsewhere. Disagree with a solid 7 every week re Brown. More like a 6 especially recently.Whitey19 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 21, 2024 4:19 pm GK- Howes plus experienced vocal no1
FB- I’d keep James providing he wasn’t asking for too much. Hunt can go for me. Sweeney needs a season on loan. Definite new LB
CB-Beckles Cooper Simpson extend deal Happe new deal hopefully
CM- El Miz hopefully but unlikely for me.Brown gives you a solid 7/10 most weeks. Obiero would definitely get a new deal for me and game time next year. Sanders hit and miss definitely replaceable. Moncur has to go doesn’t score create tackle run complete passenger. Pratley I’d keep on low wages only
Wide- Graham O’Neil Archibald Forde not sure. Have t liked his attitude the last 6 weeks or so. Form has completely gone
CF Obviously Ageyi Sortriou Piggott move on just hasn’t worked along with the 2 young lads
In the summer 1GK at least 1FB 2CM 1 winger 1CF
Only 2/3 players off a squad that really could achysomething
Current squad players you want to keep

No way new deal for Tom James please. Looks disinterested most of the time, dead ball delivery is laughably bad.... I think we all remember L2 Tom James, with goals and assists. 2 assists in 42 games this year for free kick taker, corner taker and 'long' thrower.

Re: Current squad players you want to keep
If I understand correctly, our forward requirement is as follows:
Affordable.
Scores the majority of chances when presented.
Target man. Can win headers and hold the ball up.
Can run around and press defenders.
Not prone to injury.
Not sure why Ling hasn't found one already, must be plenty of them non-league that can make the step up. If league one prove a step too far, I'm sure there will be no complaints on the message board.

Happy for any experienced player who can't nail down a place in the team to leave. So that would be James, Hunt, Moncur, Pratley and Pigott. Maybe Beckles too, as I'm not sure he's first xi.
