I'm still astonished that so many seem sanguine about how readily the Club will change the meaning of words. Often the same people who applaud the club for its transparency and integrity, and accept everything it says without question.

Just call it what it is then: number of tickets sold.

Doubt that it would attract as much applause during the game as when 7,000 people congratulate themselves for being 8.200. I guess we all like to pretend we're bigger than we actually are.
