Re: Eco protest
Was down at Waterloo Bridge this afternoon and early evening when the fuzz started trying to take the roads back. A pretty amazing thing really, wonderful atmosphere (in contrast to the yellow vest thug gatherings of recent months) and important to be having a protest like this. Hope to see much more of it in the days and weeks to come.
Just didn't fancy getting nicked in case it got in the way of Solihull tomorrow.

Re: Eco protest
Apart from bringing attention to the issue, are they really achieving anything? They've got some Swedish schoolgirl doing speeches and meeting Corbyn now.

That Greta Thunberg is an impressive spokesman given her age. Nice to see Teresa turning up today to show her concern too.

Re: Eco protest
Would be more credible if they made sensible, realistic demands and didn't cause a load of congestion and delay public transport. But I suppose tackling climate change isn't their real objective.

Re: Eco protest
I think it is a very important issue and hats of to these protestors who include many young people in their ranks, all of whom are drawing attention to these important issues of climate change etc. Other big issues are the pollution of the seas and air, destruction of the fish stock and all forms of wildlife including their habitats, plastic pollution etc, the list is endless. We have only the one planet Earth that we live on, it must be protected for the good of all future generations of humans and also for the wildlife and plants etc in all their various forms.

Re: Eco protest
To be fair to that bloke, he’s got more than a touch of the Gary glitters about him. When he says he has seven children, he might not mean he’s fathered that many, could be he means locked up in his cellar. Go easy until you know the full facts, eh?
