Connor Ripley
Could do a lot worse than sign Ripley as our goalkeeper for next season. Under contract to PV for next season but would have thought a decent chance of signing him esp if PV get relegated.

Re: Connor Ripley
He pulled off two excellent saves last night but I’d rather we tried to sign El-Miz up permanently and Shaq Forde . I would wait to see what keepers are released by their clubs in the Summer. Who knows, we might be able to sign a keeper released from a Championship club

Re: Connor Ripley
Didn’t give him much to do and his kicking was atrocious. Dived out the way of Ruels 1 on 1 that smashed the crossbar.
Think he played well in the game at their place tho?

Re: Connor Ripley
I thought he got a touch on the ball to deflect it on to the crossbar. It was a good save.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2024 7:28 am Didn’t give him much to do and his kicking was atrocious. Dived out the way of Ruels 1 on 1 that smashed the crossbar.

I think he did get a touch. Still went down when the ball was smashed straight at him.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2024 7:44 amI thought he got a touch on the ball to deflect it on to the crossbar. Re: Connor Ripley
A very good keeper in my eyes let wait and see how much we have for the budget next season we need to try and get miz on a permanent deal if we can and another striker then look at ripley if we can

Re: Connor Ripley
Ripley will still be under contract next season so I can't see us paying a fee for him . I still think the most likely scenario if we don't go down the loan route again is to bring in a newly released keeper .

Re: Connor Ripley
Did I miss something? The geezer made 1 or 2 saves, kicked it out of play about 8 times and has mainly played for teams that got relegated

Re: Connor Ripley
I'm pretty sure he had a good game at their place but agreed, didn't stand out last night.

Re: Connor Ripley
Ridiculous. Ruel leathers that, he does what most keepers do in that situation and spreads himself, he does superbly to get a hand up to tip it onto the bar.
The guy wouldn't suit our system at all but he had a good game last night, as he did at their place.

Re: Connor Ripley
Apparently Ashley Maynard-Brewer could be leaving Charlton. Could do worse than him too and he fits into our new 'younger players' approach.
