Not convicted of anything and as long as he looks suitably remorseful in any future signing video I reckon we should take a look.

Re: Excellent defender available
He deserves a fourth chance not to assault his partner, and in a way, if he signed for us, that’d be 46 periods of 90 minutes a year where he’d be guaranteed to not be assaulting his partner

It would also be an opportunity for us to teach him about ensuring he obtains Affirmative Consent before battering his partner next time.

Re: Excellent defender available
As long as we get a female member of the Orient staff to say it’s all ok with them then we’re good to go.
If anything, we are actively denying this man a career by not signing him which is outrageous. It’s our obligation as a football club to give him another chance.
Why should somebody suffer the consequences of their actions if they say they are sorry? It’s politically correct health and safety gone mad.

their only mistake was in allowing their interest in him to become public before they got him in the building

That's a fine and then some!
The former Germany and Borussia Dortmund left-back was ordered to donate more than £128,000 to five charity organisations over a three-month period for the case to be discontinued after his ex-partner reportedly refused to testify.

I can completely understand why supporters have not taken to the signing of Simpson but if you are going to throw it into the face of the club every time just get lost and go elsewhere.Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2024 4:19 pm https://www.theguardian.com/football/20 ... emale-fans

Re: Excellent defender available
I completely understand why some supporters haven’t taken to this signing, but going so far as to talk about it? Well they can f*** off to another club. Probably Getafe, knowing the sheer hypocrisy of these people. Typical PJ, supporting Mason Greenwood!

1. Not allowed to play football ever again: not necessarilyDrWindy wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2024 10:56 pm https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68492930
Should she be sacked and not allowed to play again?
2. Would I want her involved with Leyton Orient: no
Providing she is guilty, of course.
Do you understand the distinction?

If found guilty of uttering a racial slur on this occassion, she should never be allowed to 'work' again?
Blimey.

I don't know the young lady but having just googled her, 1) she's Aussie and they have a different attitude towards racial slurs out there and 2) she looks a bit foreign herself? What racial slur did she use?

Its often said we need to be nastier, so this signing would make perfect sense.

I believe she called him a stupid white b*stard. I think she has Indian heritage.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2024 9:32 am I don't know the young lady but having just googled her, 1) she's Aussie and they have a different attitude towards racial slurs out there and 2) she looks a bit foreign herself? Re: Excellent defender available
Cannot see why not as there is a revered player in the Team now who had allegations of abuse with a former girlfriend and a coaching staff member who had an affair with another players wife.Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2024 4:19 pm https://www.theguardian.com/football/20 ... emale-fans

I don’t see anything in there about “abuse”. That’s quite a serious allegation for you to be throwing around.Yanzi Gravy wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2024 10:06 amCannot see why not as there is a revered player in the Team now who had allegations of abuse with a former girlfriend and a coaching staff member who had an affair with another players wife.Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2024 4:19 pm https://www.theguardian.com/football/20 ... emale-fans
