Actually, scrap that. Unless I'm missing something or he has blocked me (both are possible) his Facebook page appears to be gone. It was there not too long ago, as I had noticed he had been absent, so thought I'd snoop for any signs of activity (and there wasn't any for over a year).

I hope this isn’t the case, but I have known social media pages to be taken down after inactivity due to the original page owner passing away. This happened quite recently with somebody I knew but hadn’t been close to for some years. Their LinkedIn and Facebook vanished. I ended up googling their name and finding out via a local news site that they had tragically passed.

If anybody is friends/contacts with a relative it might be worth checking with them.

Just gone through the friend list of some fellow Orient lefties, and cannot see his page listed there either. And I'm pretty sure he was connected to them before. It's possible he may have just deleted it.

I suspect he is alive & well and has put that persona in abeyance. Perhaps because the name he chose there, has Jewish overtones & he may feel it is inappropriate at this moment in time. Especially as the persona seems to be somewhat sympathetic to the Galloway side of the Political spectrum.

Only met him once, and while his religion was not discussed, I'm pretty sure I remember him having a bacon roll with his pint
