Re: Paul McCallum
Eastleigh is close to me so have popped there to see him play. Beats me how he scores so many because when I’ve seen him he is slow, lazy and cumbersome and a million miles from League 1 quality in my opinion. Maybe I’ve just seen him on his bad days but I would not be rushing to bring him in. Great in the National League, a style and level that suites his game.

Re: Paul McCallum
So he's spent 40% of the season injured? Some would say thats another reason for signing him!

Re: Paul McCallum
I'm not so sure about that .As others have said McCallum is playing two levels down in the National League . Put him in League One and I think he'd be lost .The trouble with Pigott is he's a player playing with no confidence at the moment . Although I've been a critic of his in the past I'm sure he's a much better player than he's currently showing us . He needs a goal to get him going again . The one thing I'm sure about is if any manager could help him get his confidence back it would be Richie .

Re: Paul McCallum
He's almost 31 and has played nothing but non-League since leaving us 7 years ago. He's having a great season and has scored at a fair rate for Eastleigh, Dagenham and Barnet, but people are being really silly.

Re: Paul McCallum
Mccallum wasn't great for us otherwise we would not have released him. If he was any good the likes of W£exham or Notts C would have signed him. Always looked slow & uninterested

Re: Paul McCallum
Exactly, can't knock his record but if he was as good as some people seem to be claiming, then better clubs would have come in to take him back up the pyramid while he was in his prime years. They didn't.

Re: Paul McCallum
He's a good lad, and sure he could do a job in League Two, but for a League One side looking up more than it's looking down? Sorry Paul.

Re: Paul McCallum
I was just thinking if that England C squad was a League Two squad I wonder how well they would do . Could that squad win promotion ?

Always felt sorry for Sam Ling - good attitude and a trier. Lacked something, though.

Re: Paul McCallum
Dan Pybus spent preseason here 2022/23 after being released by Dunfermline Athletic. Signed for York City in Conference North (playoff winners) and now in Conference National with Dorking Wanderers.
