Re: Piggot
If he doesn’t suit our style of play then I wonder why we signed him in the first place.Perry Combover wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 10:29 pm A player who's totally unsuitable for our style of play, and out of form.It hasn't worked out for him

Re: Piggot
Not a stupid question. Piggot probably wasn't top of our list, and it hasn't worked out well so far, but there's no evidence it was a panic signing. You cant get them all right, but even with Piggot included, no complaints from me regards the transfer window and our season so far.Monkey Boy wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 7:21 amYou really are pedantic and ask stupid questions.B.whitehouse+10more wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 7:13 amSo explain who panicked, and tell us who these signings were that fell through.

Re: Piggot
So you expect an ordinary supporter to explain to the rest of us why someone in the club signed Pigot? You also expect an ordinary supporter to tell us about transfer targets that fell through? Really. Of course it was a stupid question.Chelmsford Swimmer wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 7:35 amNot a stupid question. I don't expect supporters to quote signings as panic signings with no evidence.Monkey Boy wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 7:41 amSo you expect an ordinary supporter to explain to the rest of us why someone in the club signed Pigot? Re: Piggot
Isn’t that the point of the forum? Surely people are entitled to say what they think, you can’t tell me that you haven’t expressed an opinion on a player on here at some point? Doesn’t mean you’re right or wrong. Personally I agree with the original post about Pigot being a panic buy, however that’s only my opinion and not fact, only my opinion, something that at this stage appears to be correct to the onlooker from the stand. But I respect your view.Chelmsford Swimmer wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 7:45 amI don't expect supporters to quote signings as panic signings with no evidence.Monkey Boy wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 7:41 amSo you expect an ordinary supporter to explain to the rest of us why someone in the club signed Pigot? Re: Piggot
Piggot was signed 2 weeks before the start of the season. It wasn’t a panic buy in the classic sense but he probably was the last on the list and they just wanted to get it done to get someone in

Re: Piggot
We were not targeting Pigott at all until his circumstances at Ipswich changed, he had a meeting with the Ipswich manager in pre season and they eventually agreed it was better for him to find another club. There was a settlement of his contract which was then annulled and he joined us the day after once we got wind he was available as a free agent.
He should have been a good signing but it hasn’t worked out he was rumoured to be rejoining AFC Wimbledon in January but it never happened.

Re: Piggot
Not sure but I think those goals were pens?and not scored in open play. Weather he was a panic buy or not looking at the way and how Wellens likes his team to play I’m baffled why he decided to bring him in all honesty. IMO Lester is more suited with either a two up front or playing behind the front striker but in a less high tempo team. Wellens likes a more high press and that’s not Lester’s game as we all know.

Re: Piggot
Lets be honest, Pigott is the new Drinan............bloody useless.
Im not interested if he was any good years ago, the facts are, he's no good now, and now's what counts
He doesn't suit Richie's style of play either
Why he was brought here God alone knows, but the club need to shift him, in the summer.
When a couple of teenage kids, keep you off the bench, you know your days are numbered.
We have some absolutely brilliant players at ths club ATM.....there's no room for baggage
