They might when we get around to creating self driving technology.
LSN will believe that technology carries risk the day he can listen to music on a computing device and not a day before

Guaranteed that Caca is going to be the one to doom us all when he buys premium ChatGPT and asks it for the best wing walking pun, leaves the pc switched on overnight and the app diverts all the world’s resources into pun development and analysis, eventually creating a swarm of nano bots converting all organic life into grey goo to fuel a machine finding words that rhyme with Wing and Nutty Nat. And when that happens I will say “I told you so”

Re: AI Watch
AI is only as dangerous as we allow it to be. If someone is stupid enough to put an AI/chatbot in charge of something very important, then it will probably lead to disaster, but I reckon thats because the tech is stupid, not wants to take over the world etc.

Yeah, cos telling university professors to turn their laptop off then back on again over the phone makes you an expert on AI.Long slender neck wrote: ↑Thu Jun 01, 2023 3:26 pmI've worked in IT for twenty years. I'm not seeing this imminent AI revolution you fear.

Imagine the carnage when Heymessy or NU hack into the AI and force it to carry out their evil for them.CEB wrote: ↑Thu Jun 01, 2023 3:52 pm Guaranteed that Caca is going to be the one to doom us all when he buys premium ChatGPT and asks it for the best wing walking pun, leaves the pc switched on overnight and the app diverts all the world’s resources into pun development and analysis, eventually creating a swarm of nano bots converting all organic life into grey goo to fuel a machine finding words that rhyme with Wing and Nutty Nat.
