Caught most of it earlier.

All sounded good, other than the grumpy old men tv show. Struggling to see that taking off in America…

Managed to get through this during lunch break earlier, I bet Nigel wishes he could've done it at 2x speed too :D

Very impressed with Mark Devlin as always, he's been a shrewd signing off the pitch as RW has been on it imo.

Wonder if the documentary covers the transfer window rant at the Chairman who cancelled our signing, were you hamming it up for the cameras Nigel ;)

Encouraging update on the new ground ideas. Money will obviously be the issue but the fact they are pressing on like this indicates they are confident of getting the investment. 17k capacity and safe standing would be an absolute dream, and it sounds like they are reasonably positive about it being within the Leyton area as well.

Spitalfields?
It’s being moved to Dagenham docks in a few years.

Think it will be either the cricket ground or the parcel of land on Orient way (possibly Drapers field?)

Is that a big enough footprint for stadium/hotel/conference suites or housing?

No, and neither are either of the examples you suggested. It's highly unlikely to be on existing green space.

What about the hockey stadium area?
The only bit of the Olympic park in Waltham Forest.
Ironically West Ham could object as we’d be moving closer to them!
Sounded like it was near public transport, not far from underground but might have to put new pedestrian bridge over the railway lines
Travis has highlighted this site before

Cricket ground would be ideal, plenty of room on that site

Listed building that's recently been invested in as a cricket facility for Essex. Would feel really off for the club to destroy sparse sporting infrastructure for yet another football stadium in London, there's no way that site happens.

Spitafields market is the really obvious candidate but it'll all be new builds so would be quite soulless as an area.

Cricket ground would meet massive opposition from local residents, imo.
Tbf, Travis did indicate some of the proposed sites would meet resident opposition. Dont think there would be any such problems at Spitalfields

I doubt it would be the cricket ground because of the listed building on it . Spitalfields would be more practical but I have a feeling it won't be there either . I believe that site has already been earmarked for new housing . I bet the site we do eventually move to we haven't mentioned yet .

They can integrate that building as a pre-match hub for supporters and hospitality. Plenty of room whilst keeping that building.

Interesting, that’s not the impression Nige gave on Monday.
