LOFC windfall watch
Can we list the players who the O's have sold over the last couple of years who definitely have sell-on clauses so if they were to be sold on then the O's would get a welcome chunk of cash to reinvest. Can you also list the % if known.
With thanks to Top of the JES - all likely have 20% of anything over the initial fee as a sell on:
Josh Koroma
Stephen Alzate
Hector Kyprianou
Ethan Colman
Dan Kemp
Shad Ogie
Any others?
Cheers.

Re: LOFC windfall watch
No, Sam has had from memory Three clubs since he left us.
Hector. Josh K, Colman, Kemp and Ogie will all likely have 20% of anything over the initial fee as a sell on. Alzate may well leave on a free in the summer so no sell on.
Posh turned down £2 million for Hector in January - would have been worth another £340k to us if he was sold, Peterborough will get top dollar for him if he goes in the summer though if they don't go up, and to think of the stick he used to get from lots of fans before he went.

Re: LOFC windfall watch
Nice Idea but he’s way beyond what we could afford in wages and he will get a decent move when his contract expires in the summerOrient Punxx wrote: ↑Thu Feb 22, 2024 9:45 amMaybe get him back here next season when we’re in the Championship.Give it to Jabo wrote: ↑Thu Feb 22, 2024 8:39 amI thought that Alzate showed real promise.Give it to Jabo wrote: ↑Wed Feb 21, 2024 4:44 am None of them have become superstars despite the promise they showed…

Re: LOFC windfall watch
Probably sell at least one or two from the academy a season but we get peanuts and it rarely made public from our end.

Re: LOFC windfall watch
Alzate's career seems to have stalled due to injuries. It'll be really annoying if he leaves for free this summer, as he looked like a possible £10-20m player in the absurd world of epl economics when he first got into the Brighton team. Still, Orient producing a Colombian international and Belgian top flight quality player is pretty decent.
Koroma has carved out a decent championship career which isn't bad going.

Re: LOFC windfall watch
Yep it was in the region of £3 million not £2 million my bad, offer from an un named club, we sold Hector for £300k so a 20% sell on if he had sold £540k - let’s hope he goes in the summer foe a bit more.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Wed Feb 21, 2024 8:46 amIt was £3m last week.Top of the JES wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2024 11:35 pmNo, Sam has had from memory Three clubs since he left us.

Re: LOFC windfall watch
Agreed, he’s actually suffered from the same policy that got him to Brighton in the first place, them buying good young players and developing them on. He’s now well down the pecking order. Still possible Brighton will offer him a new contract but he could go to a top championship club or abroad and pocket a big signing on fee so bad luck for us.Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Thu Feb 22, 2024 10:47 am Alzate's career seems to have stalled due to injuries.
