New music
Just tuned in to Capital Radio and it appears to me that every other song is a ripoff off of an old tune with the obligatory piece of rapping in it. Just got to figure out a way to update “My Old Man’s a Dustman”and I’ve cracked it. Am I showing my age

Re: New music
Most new music has been rubbish for a while. There are a number of 'artists' who appear to be incredibly famous and successful and yet I couldnt name or think of any of their songs. Maybe I'm just old now.
Re: New music
Capital radio isn’t where you’ll hear good new music.
Little tip: YouTube, search KEXP, they have a list of hundreds of sessions by newer bands, and there’s some absolute gold in there

Re: New music
It’s not just the music,it’s the dance moves as well, can’t remember the Stones walking up and down the the stage holding there b- llocks and pointing to the floor whilst crouching like a Japanese sniper?

Re: New music
Who on earth is Taylor swift? Every time I open a paper or turn on the TV I see her boat race staring back at me. I am not a huge fan of music generally and certainly not any of today’s offerings. I am with you monkey.

You knew where you stood in the 70’s and 80’s, the bee Gees,”More than a woman” The Police “Every Breath you Take” and black Lace “ Agadoo”quality. What do we get now. Paul Russell “Lil Boo Thing” or as sung “lil boo ting” wtfStory of O wrote: ↑Fri Feb 16, 2024 9:56 am I expect my Parents and Grandparents were saying the same thing in the 70's.

Listen to some K-pop, beradogs. It’ll cure your fear of death and have you actively welcoming its cold embrace

Re: New music
My exposure to Kpop is limited to BTS but come on, they don't half put out some bangers.
Re: New music
Stick on a Spotify playlist of the essential Taylor Swift.
I mean, she’s an industry, it’s all very corporate and carefully done, but when you actually just listen to her music I suspect you’ll be - at worst - “ok not my cup of tea but bloody hell she’s got the tunes and she can’t half sing”
