Re: Tuesdays team
Injuries are starting to bite so I reckon we will struggle for a few weeks now unfortunately. Also, looks like the personnel for Richie's excellent 4-3-3 system are the key ones injured so I guess we may have to revert to wingbacks.
Brynn
Back three of Cooper, Beckles and James
Wingbacks of Galbraith and Sweeney
Midfield three of Brown, El Mizouni and Moncur
Two up top: Forde and Pigshit
Subs:
Howes
Hunt
Pratley
Edwards
Adu-Ageyi
O'Neill
Sodje

Re: Tuesdays team
Assuming the injury rumours are true, it’ll be the same starting side as yesterday but with Pigs in for Ruel and Cooper in for Happe.

Re: Tuesdays team
At risk of making things up, I’d guess he’d play either of the strikers Ling didn’t sign in the transfer window over Piggot…..
Re: Tuesdays team
Surely we'll see at least one of the loanees get some time - unless we're doing a Wet Sham job on the Cobblers.

Re: Tuesdays team
Why?
Correct me if I'm wrong but Edwards is a 20 year old who has never played a minute of senior football, spending all his time wrapped up in Arsenal's academy, and Dan Adjei the Second has had a loan spell at step 3/4 Poole Town and played 1 game for Bournemouth (when they fielded the kids v QPR in the FA Cup).
They've had 2 or 3 training sessions with our squad.
They may well go on to have long, glorious careers, I've no idea as I've never seen them play a minute of football. Which is presumably exactly the same amount of time everyone calling for them to feature has seen of them.

1) if Pigot plays instead of the loan players he’s basically sticking two fingers up at the board.Long slender neck wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2024 6:50 pmClassic Bitchie if piggot plays.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2024 6:47 pm Assuming the injury rumours are true, it’ll be the same starting side as yesterday but with Pigs in for Ruel and Cooper in for Happe.
2) Pigot is a full time contract player the others aren’t.
3) given the choice I’d play the kit man over Pigot.

Re: Tuesdays team
Although Pigott is now only a shell of a player I think he'll start with one of the young loanee's replacing him in the second half . Considering we'll have no firepower and the players will be tired after that massive effort on Saturday , I think we'll lose . On the bright side we only need seven more points and we can look forward to another season of League One football .Monkey Boy wrote: ↑Mon Feb 12, 2024 10:14 am1) if Pigot plays instead of the loan players he’s basically sticking two fingers up at the board.Long slender neck wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2024 6:50 pmClassic Bitchie if piggot plays.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2024 6:47 pm Assuming the injury rumours are true, it’ll be the same starting side as yesterday but with Pigs in for Ruel and Cooper in for Happe.

Re: Tuesdays team
This sums it up. We're treating them combined, as 'The Loanees', because we've got no f*cking idea about either of them.

Re: Tuesdays team
The Loanees, Edwards & Adu-Adjei may not have had any mins at L1 level, but they will still be more of a goal threat than Piggot, they can’t be any worse, that would be impossible!!

Re: Tuesdays team
They've not had any minutes at any level, though.
And yes, right now - without any experience of senior football, without any time training with their new teammates, without any time taking on board instructions as to how we play - they could be worse than Piggot. That's the conclusion Richie and co have reached to date.
Hopefully after a bit of time in the fold, that will change. Let's just hope it doesn't take too long.

'Classic Bitchie' would be throwing the kids in at the deep end, watching them sink, then turning round and saying 'Told You So'.Long slender neck wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2024 6:50 pmClassic Bitchie if piggot plays.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2024 6:47 pm Assuming the injury rumours are true, it’ll be the same starting side as yesterday but with Pigs in for Ruel and Cooper in for Happe.

Re: Tuesdays team
I've not even mentioned that either of these boys would most likely be going into a front 3 alongside Shaqford and O'Neill. Great potential, zero experience and leadership. It's not fair on any of them to throw them into that.

Re: Tuesdays team
Tell you what, shall I type out the many reasons why I believe Richie has not played either of them once again?
Shall I do that for you?
Then you can come back with a 'My nan is better than piggot' or ' What's the point of signing them and not playing them?'
Shall we do that?

Re: Tuesdays team
In an ideal world, we go 2 or 3 up tomorrow night and one of The Loanees (either, I know nothing about them) is able to come on for 30 minutes in a comfortable game in front of a supportive home crowd. Maybe the other one of The Loanees then comes on for the last 5 minutes. And we're able to give them a little bit more time again on Saturday, after they've had a couple more training sessions with the squad. (Yes when we're playing Saturday Tuesday Saturday we're unlikely to be training more than twice a week and both of those sessions will be low intensity).
