Good job he hasn’t been offered one then.Rich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Sat Feb 03, 2024 7:42 pm One thing I will say is Richie was very clear that part of him signing a new contract (maybe even something in his contract) was around having a certain budget. Fair enough if he’s annoyed that we’ve dipped below that whilst our best player is now done for the season

Where has Wellens said they werent good enough ? Hes already stated he f*cked Drinans Hamstring twice. Listen To what the bloke says ffs.Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Sat Feb 03, 2024 7:37 pm On a good run of form, have shipped two players who weren't good enough for this level and never fit regardless - it's a weird energy to be this negative and sours what has obviously been a really positive relationship.
It's this kind of attitude that will put off bigger employers. Owners don't like managers who air dirty linen in public and who can't accept a budget.

Read what I've written. I didn't say Wellens said that, I've said what is obvious to everyone - Thompson and Drinan were a waste of wages. His complaining about losing hundreds of games of experience would make sense if the two of them ever made the pitch. But they haven't all season.

Of course it was McKirdy .Top of the JES wrote: ↑Sat Feb 03, 2024 7:41 pm Seriously pissed off - I don’t think so,I would say he’s peeved rather than anything more we know Drinan was one of his favourites but he actively helped to get him a new club. - until we know why the experienced striker fell through its hard to make an informed comment but I’m guessing it was Harry McKirdy.

Problem is Joe, ML has been slagged off on here for getting injured players in, there would have been a meltdown if we signed him and something happened.Joe315 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 03, 2024 7:51 pmOf course it was McKirdy .Top of the JES wrote: ↑Sat Feb 03, 2024 7:41 pm Seriously pissed off - I don’t think so,I would say he’s peeved rather than anything more we know Drinan was one of his favourites but he actively helped to get him a new club. - until we know why the experienced striker fell through its hard to make an informed comment but I’m guessing it was Harry McKirdy.

Re: RW seriously pi55ed off
I agree would have liked to have given Mo Eisa a go but RW is quite definite on the type of players he wants ( high pressing game) a lot of those available wouldn’t fit.Joe315 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 03, 2024 8:09 pmYupB.whitehouse+10more wrote: ↑Sat Feb 03, 2024 8:07 pmProblem is Joe, ML has been slagged off on here for getting injured players in, there would have been a meltdown if we signed him and something happened.

Re: RW seriously pi55ed off
It’s always the same with Lingy he always leaves it late to get players in.RW says he he left it to late to get the striker he wanted. Money was always going to be a problem with the clubs strict budget. I am beginning to feel that the club cannot meet the ambitions of RW.He has previously said in a podcast that he has been chased by clubs on at least 4 or5 occasions.would not surprise me if he left the club at the end of his contract.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 03, 2024 7:21 pm Then in that case why do we leave our transfer business so late . Is it down to Lingy wanting to save on wages or not . I wonder what the truth is

Re: RW seriously pi55ed off
Perhaps RW is just looking for an excuse to get out of this job to another ,better one ,after all his stock must have risen somewhat . Either way if he's that pissed of he will go and we will find another manager .

Re: RW seriously pi55ed off
It does have that feel of a watershed moment where RW has just seen where the glass ceiling is at Orient. A more subtle version of what happened with Jackett during a January window albeit a level above and with more success along the way.moonwalk19 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 03, 2024 8:19 pmIt’s always the same with Lingy he always leaves it late to get players in.RW says he he left it to late to get the striker he wanted. Re: RW seriously pi55ed off
Crap recruitment is the key with agyei injured we needed that experience attacker in my mi d there’s still a bit of a chance that we could still sign a forward for a free with no club there has got to be some players out there that have no club
