Koroma

Might get a better chance now that Jan Siewert got sacked. Or maybe a worse move for him that the manager that got him in has been sacked?

Very much doubt he will get a chance while simultaneously not being a bad decision to go there. He was signed based on potential ability, not current ability. He's not developed enough yet to help improve their team. They will want to him to improve this season and see how things pan out.

This. It’s irrelevant.

He may get the odd opportunity in Mickey Mouse cups but he’ll mainly feature in their reserve/youth team. I know he’ll be getting a wedge so don’t blame him but it won’t be the same as being the star performer, playing first team football, in front of 5,000 crowds, who idolise you.

Seasons still young and he may get his chance but imo a 20 year old with bags of potential is only going to make it by playing week in and week out. Look how much he improved in just a season for us.

He’ll be training amongst better players, which will help, but can’t help thinking he would have been better off starting every week in league one and getting a move higher in 1-2 years.

Perhaps he may get loaned out to another club a league or so under the Championship where he will get more games and experience, many young players get loaned out. Not completely impossible that he may even get loaned back to the Os, lets see !

He made the right move for his career, no doubt.

Players careers are so short that you absolutely can’t blame him for taking an opportunity, but I don’t think you can say if it’s the right move, for at least a couple of years.

See abrahams.

Abrahams hadn't done anywhere near enough to earn his move. Not in the same league as Koroma who put in the graft and showed he can cut it in first team football.

The move Koroma made is different to the move Abrahams made. There was little to no chance of Abrahams making the first team, he was essentially being bought as a speculative option for their u23s. Koroma has played a lot more games and is older. He's been bought with a view to making the first team at some stage and has already made his debut.
